Jeffrey and Chrissy, what beautiful pictures of your family! I was just recently directed to this website from a WC friend of mine . . . what a blessing to have a way to reconnect with old friends we love. Chris and I both send our love to you. Love, Jan
Hey Jeffrey,
If you ever come through PA on your travels, you have GOT TO stop by (or I'll meet you somewhere). We live 35 miles from philly (at least that's what the mile stone in our front yard says that was placed there in 1770...nice old farm house to go with it build in 1797...)
I remember you saying you use to do high rise window cleaning. You must have worked for John. I checked out his website for his company and started putting 2 & 2 together. He sounds like a pretty cool guy to work with. I look forward to meeting him someday. It's an incredible godly thing he's done with this website. It blesses me sooooooooooo much I can't even put it into words. I love how it is based on thankfulness for the good things we've all gleaned from The Way because of our love for God. I especially liked what he said about people who have been spiritually abused having a tendency to do the same to others. Thank God he took the high road and it's great to see others of us have done the same.
Thanks for supporting my musical interest. I still remember you telling me to never let it go as you where seeing so many had. Those were powerful words from over 20 years ago that have stuck with me and have reverberated in my ears to the point where I'm finally coming out with my first CD called "Sun's Comin' Up". I'll shoot you a copy when it's ready. I was also thinking of putting some songs on this website on my page. It really blesses me to here music people like when reading about them on their page. In fact, it was music that brought me to this website. Jill Edwards of the 18th Corps (sorry I forget her maiden name, but as you may have already known...or figured out, she married Vern Edwards also of the 18th Corps...They are our current Limb Coordinators...Jill + Vern = no religiosity...YEAH GOD, I can live again) anyway, she gave me a CD to listen to by Sue Simon who went out Way Disciple this year from North Carolina. I was reading the credits and saw Mark Hagerling's name and thought I know that guy from the ministry, so I did a google search and there he was. (Man, what an incredible musician and producer...I'd love to work with him one day.) He mentioned this website and I checked it out and there you were. It was funny to find out the Davis' had signed up right before I did without me knowing about it. (Our Region Coordinators) I think it was God's way of saying "It's cool. Have fun!" This website is one of the greatest things that has happened in my life in years! The Way Corps is one of the most, if not the most, important and impacting experiences of my entire life. To want to give your entire life to God in service to His people is a big deal. It was something I wanted to do for God after all He had done for me. I still feel that way, but I just need to go about it in another way. That's how I look at the music thing. I'd like to think it will bless God's people on some level, but anyway It's great to reconnect in this way with only those who have been in the Corps know.
I'm getting snowed in today or maybe I should say iced in, but It's nice to be able to sit down and talk to my buddy ol' pal once again. It's so cool to pick up where we left off...where ever that was...well as I recall it was saying goodbye in the ROA parking lot back in '94. You were telling us about Rose Mary being very sick. Did she pull through alright? I'm sorry I didn't track you down to find out sooner how she was.
I got your hint on pictures loud and clear. I'll be adding pics and music as soon as I figure it out...more than likely over this holiday time...I may even put a basic track of guitar & vocals of the title song for the CD on there. I still need to add other instruments and background vocals. I'd hate to keep you waiting on something you were a part of in bringing to pass :)...well almost bringing to pass...not done yet. I have enough songs to probably do 4 full albums at this point. I was even writing in the dark days of being "mark & avoid". (I'm glad God didn't avoid me :)...Isn't He the coolest?...You know it!)
I look forward to meeting your kids someday and of course to see Chrissy again would be great too. Nice looking woman you got there bro...as you well know...
I'll give your eyes a break. There is a lot more to share...we've got a lot of catching up to do..."The times they are a changin' " and that's a good thing!
Jeffrey and Chrissy,
Just wanted to say hi and wish you and your family a very blessed holiday season. Thankful to know you. Tonight we had a Bay Area Window Cleaning company Christmas party. Having the president of our parent company from Pittsburgh (the company who bought me out) there was a little odd. But when I saw Mike and Ronnie Kott walk in the door I was again reminded of some humble beginning of my past of which you were a part back in the day.
I am so glad you guys are here.
Love to your family. God bless.
An old friend,
John R.
What's up dude? (Dudette?) The last time I saw you both was at the ROA '94. You look well with your "quiver full".
Let me know what's going on there in AZ. I use to love to visit my sister in the winter when she was going to ASU. Looks like you know Dan & Dee Davis. They are our new Region Coordinators as of this ministry year. I've talked to Dan once on the phone, but have never met him. Chrissy must have been in the Corps with him (duh...I can read). I Knew of Dee while I was in the Way College Program & 11th Corps, but can't remember ever really talking to her. She did command a certain respect though just the way she carried herself. I look forward to meeting Dan when he comes down for meetings in PA in January.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. I have a lot of fond memories being with you at Camp Gunnison Jeffrey. I use to love to pray with you out on your balcony as the Gunnison river flowed bye.
Chrissy, thank you for your message and yes I would love to call you. I have been so busy with school lately and this week I have a ton of homework. I could give you a call after the holiday this week and maybe we could get together for coffee or something? I look forward to chatting with you. Bless, Candi
It was so great talking to you last week Chrissy! I am so happy for you and your family and for you wonderful fellowship of believers you are a part of. Life is good!
Jeff--Its a long time since parachute pants and break dancing at the ABC in South Tampa. It looks like youve done alright!
