I was in the 7th Corps with Sigrid and Mark. She was a kind and loving person. They have lived in St. Marys, Ohio for many years, since we graduated from the 7th Corps.

Here are a few pictures I took from 2002 & 2003. If anyone has more please post them or send to me and I will be glad to post them for you.

We'll miss you Sigrid!

  • I loved hearing back from you Mark. I got your voice mail; wish I'd actually talked with you instead but I was at work. Thanks for the update on the "kids"....so happy for Matt and the upcoming wedding! Congrats on being a grandpa and love to Amelia. I'll call you one of these days when I have time to chat. Keep the pictures, ok. Love and hugs, Susan
  • Susan, I have tried to respond to your cards and am slow getting around to it all. Thanks for the gift and most importantly thanks for your prayers. I am too still recovering from the whole thing. Not as easy to start as I thought. She will be missed a lot. But know that she loved you and thought so much of your faithfulness to God. She loved to sing and talked about a lot of times she thought about you. Thanks for the photos. I can send them back if you want to keep as memory tokens.
Matt is getting married Aug 9, to Dottie Giugou. BIG deal! A lot of planning that I am not so qualified for, but will turn out OK with help from the household.. Luke has been married for more than a year and has a baby girl. Amelia is still in college. We have a new dog.
I am getting a new job together with Ron Adams to do window washing with him. Brenda and him are a lot of fun to be around. So you can write me at tdc@woh.rr.com. I am getting the phone thing all turned around, but 419 394 8467 still works. Please feel free to call aor write.
    God bless,
    Mark Tompary
  • I am still sad about it. I am glad I was able to see her in recent years and reconnect. I am glad her profile exists here on this site. It is a nice remembrance. It reminds me of this poem on this link called DO IT NOW.

We all know life is too short sometimes.
  • Gosh--what a shock! I guess I haven't been on the site for awhile. I'm so sad to hear about Sigrid. Thanks for letting everyone know.

  • I am so heartbroken over losing my wonderful friend Siggy! We were the best of friends the few years on staff at HQ; rode harleys and mgb-gt's together; were pregnant at the exact same time and had our sons 9 days apart; sang, exercised, prayed and played together. My love and prayers go to Mark and her three precious children and family! I will miss my forever friend.... Susan (Pratt) Rice
  • This is very sad news. I knew her in the corps and she was a wonderful, sweet person.

My prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends.
