Yes, I was in the audience with you that year in Emporia in 1975. Being raised Catholic I had never heard Oral Roberts until that day. I was stunned and inspired by this Fourth Man sermon. I have had great respect for him ever since. I believe the version we heard was more direct and powerful. Just the sermon alone without any commentary or teaching poiints as in this version. I'd love to get my hands on that one too.
He had his" target="_blank"> critics and lived a life of big vision...sometimes too big as evidenced by his financial woes later in his life. Like a lot of these men of God from that era, I believe their greatest times and greatest successes were before they became popular. With success it all seems to go down hill for many of them.
Regardless, the man did a lot for millions of people through the years and built ORU along the way. I was also impressed and influenced by a little book I got in the Way corps somewhere called "The 12 greatest Miracles of my Ministry". Some critics say he did not heal. I happen to believe he did.
Anyway, he lived a long life to the age of 91 and was married for 66 years and raised a tight family. I was a fan and always will be.
Here is the MP3 you made available for download Steve using the new player you sent me. Thanks for that. Let me know if this one works properly, especially for you Firefox users. To skip ahead in this player click in the middle white section with your mouse.
Rest in peace Oral Roberts. I am thankful that Dr. Wierwille played this for us back in 1975. As he once told us, Oral Roberts was a great influence on his life too.
