Christmas in Florida - Dedicated to Davis in Chicago

Merry Christmas to Davis Crowell who's freezin in Chicago. Taken last week on Christmas day. This is why I moved here shortly after surviving the "Blizzard of '78" in at HQ in Ohio. I remember so many of us wanted to move to California and Florida after we graduated Craig kinda reprimanded us. But I told him I had a sister here I wanted to witness to. It worked. He said cool, see ya. I am still on "assignment".

Lemon tree in the back yard.

I got a gift of Para Sailing for Christmas from my daughter. We went yesterday. She's never seen snow.

  • Hmmm...Shari! 14 years since seeing snow...Yikes! Shari this ain't normal!!! Perhaps 3 Hail Marys and 4 Our Fathers are in order... Snow, -0 degree temps, salt on your car till mid June, icey road coditions...this is livin'!
  • John, I think this was funny for Davis. I haven't seen snow since 94. I wouldn't mind seeing it but I am so thankful every winter to still be warm.
You are a hoot my friend.

  • I was freezing this morning! I live in Florida for a reason. Anything under 70 is cold. Anything under 60 is unbearable. This morning was just plain ridiculous.

Going back to last month, what's the holiday without Christmas lights on the palm trees and Santa in the sand.
  • Hey! You "knucklebutts"! Chicago got hit with another 10 inches of snow yesterday, total for the last 4 day's, something like a foot and a half. What are the temps ( in Fla, Richeson), ( in Ca, Johnnie). ( in Az., Steve M.)?

Hey John Lynn...what's it like in Indy? I'm gonna get some new pic's up and show the lot of you what you are missing...Yea!...eat your hearts out!
  • Hey! Another couple inches of fresh fallen snow on the ground when I woke up this morning! I immediatly put on my snow garb and went out and made a few "snow devil's"....no wait "snow angel's! Damm!... did I have a marvelous time!

Hey! Richeson, Steve and all you other "fair weathered" knucklheads....turn on your air conditioners, dawn your "dew rags"...as for me and my house...we will enjoy all this white stuff.
  • Shoveling snow is a pain but that's what Condo fees are for!
  • Sometimes it does not feel like Christmas here. If there is one thing we kinda miss it is the change of seasons.
  • I'm with Davis, Folks - Christmas lights without snow as a backdrop are just not the same! I'm up here just an hour or two north of Davis - Give up my Snow Days?? Never!
  • This was FUNEY! Thanks for the laugh...DB
  • And by the way - this whole thing with you and heights - I'm king of the hill if I get on our roof!

Chicago - that's where Indiana gets all their snow, right?
