  • Hi Vickie,

I found myself teaching high school English, so I'm not suprised you're teaching English comp. It's nice to hear you're doing so well.

  • Thanks for the greeting. Good to hear from you. Hope Oklahoma's treating you well. Only briefly remember hitchhiking through it on the way to LEAD, in some trucker's cab-lol. mm
  • this is too wierd - seeing everyone 20+ years later it's like a class reunion. glad to see you are doing well
  • Hey Vickie

Thanks for saying hi. Seems like yesterday we were sharing hearts in the library
  • Hey girl. I'm sitting here with Rubin Lichtenstein, showing him the site. He says hello and that you look awesome.
  • Dearest Vickie,
It made my day hearing from you. Your kind words mean more than I can say. Now about you, wow teaching at University of Oklahoma , that is impressive! But I am not surprised, you were always amazing.
I am off to Kiev today so I have to run, but I could not leave without touching base with you.
    Love you,
    January
ps you don't need makeup, you are beautiful without it.
  • Vicki,
I think I made a boo-boo and requested you as a friend - again, when you are already on my list. It will take a while to get used to this place.

I don't do a huge amount of writing. Most of the time it comes up when it's needed; a small piece here and there. Although, I did write a small musical for children about two years ago. That was very fun.

I haven't seen or talked to Jim Gregory in about ten years or more. He was up here visiting some folks and we got together. At that time he and Carol were in Wichita, and Jim had an HVAC business.

I confess that I don't remember your interest in writing. Hell, I'm having trouble remembering a lot of things these days. Are you teaching high school or college? I'm currently running the Drama Dept. at New Bremen High School. It has been very good - love the kids.

Ellen is terrific. She is the Managing Director of Lock One Community Arts (big name, small town operation). We bring in shows about 3-4 times a year, and put on a few of our own. She does everything - booking, tickets, publicity - and leaves the staging stuff to me and Fred Deats and Linda Emmons.
  • Vicki,
Yes, those wer some of the best times, weren't they? I can't tell a deer hunting story without including Jim Gregory. And it was 90 yards (LOL). I just went hunting for the first time in YEARS. Get this: I had a yearling follow me down a trail, and walk right up to me! I didn't have the heart to shoot it, but I asked him where his mother was.

I'm currently a faux painter and muralist. I just did a large one for St. Marys and one for Wapakoneta, and about to do one for Troy, OH. Mainly historical themes.

    What are you up to?
  • Hi Vickie... I am going to have to put a blog post about the hair out there since my bald head is pretty shocking in contrast to how everyone remembers me. So I grew my hair out down to the lower reaches of my back, then cut it shorter and shorter, and then at about 25, it just started falling out and I've been shaving it ever since. I keep threatening my wife that I am going to grow a comb over for my 40th birthday party photos then shave it the next day, but she threatens back with divorce. :-)
  • Try Grey Goose vodka...I call it the "velvet hammer".
