If time permits we will see you in November.

"Hey John, Thanks for the greeting. We'll be in Tampa the weekend of Nov 7th to visit Pedro's family. It'll be a short and well overdue visit. It'd be good to see you , but with only 2 days I don't think we'll have a lot of free time. Tommy"

  • The only way to get through was to have a sense of humor, not just the WC but life. I deal with so much of other peoples sadness, it is a matter of suvival!

Besides, happiness is contagious! Good to hear from you,

  • Hi Tommy,
What memories that come back! I remember being on dining room set up during that insane time around graduation/way corps weddings/advanced class. What never fails to bring a smile to my face is the memory of you singing "Freddie, Willy and Mabel" to the music of "Ready, Willing and Able"
So good to see your face again.
    God bless you,
    Jacqueline
  • Wow, Mardi Gras was yesterday! We were so caught up with celebrating Chinese New Year's Eve with our Taiwanese daughter that we never even gave it a thought. It is a huge deal over in Asia, and Hsuan-hui was very keyed up so we tried to do it up right. You should see our house! There are scrolls, banners and lanterns hanging everywhere--even inthe bathrooms and all over outside - in the snow. I did a big Hot Pot (sort of like Asian fondue) for the dinner and we had friends over too. The hot pot turned out great, which is pretty impressinve because I had never made one before and Hsuan-hui has no idea how to cook, but between her memories and my Tawianese cookbooks we made it work very well. Part of the New Year's celebration involves 'gambling' with cards, dice and lots of shouting and slumping, depending on how your 'luck' runs. We used different flovors of chocolate kisses, so even if you lost, you won...It was great fun. But, we were all up rather late. we had numerous calls to Taiwan and spoke to Hsun-hui's parents and both sets of grandparents and then our own proceedings, so I will be ready for an early bedtime tonight.
Gong Ho Shien Shi (I have no idea if this is the right spelling, but it would sound correct) - Happy New Year! And Happy Mardi Gras!

  • Hi Tommy,
How goes it? Is the moving in going OK? I always feel that is the worst part - all the packing up, schlepping boxes and then unpacking allover again. It usually lasts about 6 months before it is all completely over and you are finally completely settled in. The house sounds intruiging, though.
I have been traveling aroundthe state and freezing in different stages no matter where I go. I even went south to the Juneau area and brought ice cold temps with me and froze there too. I almost want to train in Hawaii this month, but I am almost afraid that my arrival would drop the temps there and all those tropical flowers would be ruined. This is always the hardest month of the year in Alaska. The winds kick up, and the mercury plunges and yuo think there may never be sun again. We will make up for it in June, though...

  • HI Tommy,

God bless you brother. Let's chat soon....let me know when you are available and I will call. Want to run a few things by you...Joseph Teo
  • As always it was great to hear from you. Sorry for my delay in getting back to you...I am not all that good at keeping up with all the items available in this the electronic age! I do a bit better with e-mail as it seems that it is something that I need to check at the office daily. One of these days maybe I'll make the trek to N.O. and maybe you would be so kind as to be my guide...I still love to eat and mix and match my foods to various beverages.
Looking forward to staying in touch.

    Clayton
