About Me

I was pretty much a loner when I was in the Way and not much has changed. My friends are few and select but I try to get on well with as many as I can. Hence I am considered likeable and many consider me a pleasant aquantance. I get invited to many events but I seldom attend or attend only for a token appearance.

My Interests

I am still very much interested in studying the Bible and getting to know God and Jesus Christ on a more personal level. My methods of research have changed a bit since the invention of the web. I just love the information age! My first great love has always been God but my form of worship was usually to thank Him for His imagination in nature. So I simply love the great outdoors and everything in it.

Employment or Career

I guess you could say that I am a career cop. I have spent the majority of my time outside of the Way involved in law enforcement. Funny that when I was in college (before the Way) I was sudying to be a Forest Ranger, mostly for the trees but it is a form of law enforcement. I never finished that degree but I did finish the Criminal Justice one. Maybe I can retire as a Forest Ranger.

Music I Like

I like any kind of music except gangster rap. It all depends on the mood I am in. My I-toons library boasts near to 5000 songs. Everything from Opera to Country to Rap and R&B. It's all in there.

Books I Like

Science Fiction or Fantasy really are my entertainment staple. Harry Potter was a delightful blend of fantasy and drama and one of my recent favorites. Upon occassion I still read commentaries, dictionaries and books about the Bible or biblical research style stuff. But nothing today is "gospel" to me except the gospel.

Television I like

My television watching falls in line with my book reading. I just love the Sci-Fi channel. I am also quite fond of some of the cop style shows like Cold Case and Criminal Minds and Without a Trace. But I really hate the reality shows because they simply are not reality.

Movies I like

Once again the movies I watch are similar to the books and TV. My fav's of all time are The Wizard of Oz, Alien series, Resident Evil series and the Harry Potter series. Lots of other movies catch my interest like musicals (aint that a bit strange?) and some dramas like Girl Interrupted.

Sports Teams I like

I just love the Chicago Bears! I also love Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees but I'm not really into the teams. The only other sports that I really watch are Gymnstics and Softball. There are no real teams that I am partial to on the College level but on the World level I always root for the good ole US of A.

Coffee sounds great. Here in San Antonio, we drink a lot of sweet tea. I've had only one cup of coffee in the last few years. Only drank half of that. But I get it, we'll have to find some way to hook up.

Nickersons are good people. They will mellow with age. He was always a little more intense than most. 'Strictly by the book', so to speak.

Well, I have 3 boys. Ian, Agustin and Alec. ages 15, 13 and 10. That fills in a chunk of the last 15 years :). We live in Grand Junction (western colorado) and love it. I look forward to catching up. I spend most of my time with my family, not a lot of extra time to do other things. They are my favorite people, so it works out well!!!!
