"Thanks for your note,it was great to see some of the old pic of Kansas and headquarters.Sorry to see of the friends who are no longer with us.Cool to find this site and the memories.
So where do you live now? We go up to Washington about once a year. My Mother in Law also lives in Yakima about 7 months a year. She owns another place in Yuma. (150 miles from us). My sister and husband still live in Maple Valley. (40 miles from Seattle). We're on the phone alot! It almost seems like we live in the same town. We take turns visiting. I just emailed a woman from the 12 Corps who lives in Seattle. It's a very spiritually rough place. There are stats.that say one in four households say they are atheists. Back to music. Do you play? I play for Believer's.
Indiana campus--you got your running stuff on and going out to do some "road work"!!
Running baby! Ever hear from Pantellitese--killed the spelling! What about Leslie Pellietier- ever hear from her?
Steven,
You wouldn't have any relatives in MI or OH would you? Just curious as I have many cousins in MI who are Lundbergs.
Bless, Kathleen (Farley) Ewonus
Steve,
Oh Yes, I remember Arthur!!!! Please tell him that I said, "hello." I am so thankful wonderful site. It is so wonderful to be able to stay in touch with our corps brethren.
Steve! How great to hear from you - you're looking pretty good yourself! I hope things are going well for you and that you are happy. I have wonderful memories of Seattle (including you); I just love that city. I have not been back in about 8 + years, could be a while. My husband and I are trying to focus our travels on places that neither of us have been.
And what a great year to be rooting for the Saints! What fun! I'll root for them as much as I can when they're not playing against the Eagles, Steelers, Cowboys or Bears! I am so glad you said hello. Where exactly in LA are you? Were you from Baton Rouge? Trying to remember---
Hey Steve, nice to hear from you. Now I was a WOW on my interim year in the 12th Corps back in either '82 or '83 in Seattle, and I lived in West Seattle. I do remember Diana Hampton. She was a sweet girl, and I always mixed her up with Diane Hammontree who was also from Seattle. Steve DeMars and Michael Dennis were my WOW brothers.
I live not too far from the U-District, a little further south in the Wedgewood are off 35th NE and 100th Street. I know what you mean about memories. Bill Standiford and I were good friends, and he worked at a sorority house as their chef back in those days. Maybe you remember him, I believe he and Diana Hampton roomed together. I was a West Seattle denizen, so maybe we did meet! I came back after I graduated from the Corps. I remember Kevin Gomez was the City coordinator and we used to go to his house on Capitol Hill and watch Bruce Lee marathons. What a hoot. Diana was cleaning houses, I think. Maybe she stayed with him, can't remember.
Haven't heard about the landslide, but I know the Rathgens were from Yakima. Give a shout if you're in the area! Would love to reminisce!
