About Me
I live in a very rural area of southern Maine with my husband, Darren and our three children, Devin (20), Olivia (18), and Jacob (12).
My Interests
Cooking is a real passion. I love walking in the woods, horseback riding on quiet trails, playing with my dogs, and of course, My Children.
Music I Like
Simple Gifts (a Shaker hymn)
... 'Tis the gift to have friends and a true friend to be,
'Tis the gift to think of others not to only think of "me",
And when we hear what others really think and really feel,
Then we'll all live together with a love that is real.
Books I Like
I LOVE to read but these days I'm just too busy to sit down and do it.
Television I like
Not much, but I watch it anyway.
Sports Teams I like
I'm a big fan of The PBR ~ Git er Dun!
New England Patriots

GREAT to hear from you and see your site. You have a wonderful life up there in the boonies!! Great-looking husband and kids....you have it all don't you?? So happy for you. Yes....my Josh is like your Jacob, Chuck (11th Corp) and I call him our love child (and our "grandchild") cuz he is here for our complete enjoyment. He too is an old soul who understands much more than his years. He is great with our 18-yr-old (Jason) who has such a hard time with life right now, I also have a Jacob--my 20-yr old who is in college at local university as well as a Chad who is almost 22 and a senior at Univ of Vermont. Like you I am busy with FEEDING them all and driving around. That's about it...oh yes. I am also a nurse--went back to school and became a RN at age 42! I work in Labor and Delivery at nearby hospital. Tell Olivia it is a GREAT profession to go into right now.
My running and swimming keep me sane. I just finished my 8th marathon in Philadelphia in Nov. I have a group of running friends that make it so much fun!
Let's keep in touch ok? Thanks for writing!
Luv ya and God bless-

Thanks for the sweet note. Where in the heck do you live in Maine? I know some of the backroads of southern Maine because I've been Lost in them! My sister lives in Hollis and that is usually where I land when I go to visit my family in New England. She lives off of rte 202. I was just in Boston in October for the first time in a couple of years. I've never in my life worn short sleeves and been hot in October in New England! That was unbelievable!
I'll have to get Donnie on here to talk to you. He did go WOW in those years I think. He went two years in a row.
Next time I head to Maine, I'll certainly have to schedule in a visit and a hug!
And.....there are beautiful boys in San Diego.....with shorts and flip flops....about all year long.....in case your daughter is interested!
Here is a website of my kid's band. myspace.com/cookingwithcasey
Love you and wonderful to know you are well!
Bless you big!

I wanted to send you a note as soon as I joined, but was out of town this week. Great to see you, too. I was remembering how you were one of the first people I met when we went into the Corps in 1978. Wow! That sounds like such a long time ago. BTW, have you aged a day? It doesn't look like it! Great looking family.
We are in a fairly populated area, but with little fellowship nearby. In some ways I can relate. We visited Maine on our 10th anniversary in 1995 and enjoyed it. We were in Ogunquit.
Hope to catch up some more later.

Great to her from you! I can't believe that you are in Maine! I hope that you are still singing.. You always had such a beautiful voice, and a beautiful face. Tell your sister that I said hi! I lived in Virginia for a while when Allison first moved there. You two girls were always a blsot!
Love,
Moira
