See you soon.
It was great to hear from you! Our families are sure growing up. My oldest, Josh is 21 and is getting married in August , Sarah is 19 and David just turned 17.
I also have many fond memories of South Carolina
and the time we spent together moving God's Word. Christ In You. Jim
I can see Leah doing gymnastics. I totally see that.
Daniel isn't sure what he wants to do yet in college. Right now he's really starting to get into the social scene. He took a girl to homecoming and was invited by a girl for this year's Winter dance. I'll send you a photo of him and Ryan. Jonelle will either stay in Tucson or move back to Denver. She likes it here in Denver.
Brad
Thanks for writing. How exciting your business is booming and that Mark is working for you. I miss those guys (and you guys too!) Please tell them hi for me.
One of my goals for this year is for me to run my business and not let my business run me. I don't like to work on the weekends and not be able to spend time with the family. We had some believers staying with us in October (they were moving back to Orlando) and I didn't have a lot of time to spend with them because I was working all the time. I realized one of my clients always contacted me at the last minute for projects so I am moving away from doing so much business with them. I am also working on getting some competent "go-to" people ( as contractors-not employees)for when I am extremely busy and need to delegate. Jim handles the business/finances/taxes end of my company-so you know how well organized I am from that stand-point. I would be lost without him. In the next year I will also try to delegate more. I am so bad about that. Christi provides a wonderful service. I will use her more as my business grows. She is working on my web site.
We are considering a ski- trip to Colorado in Feb-March, but do not have any confirmed plans as of yet. We are working on securing college for the kids. Florida has a pre-pay college program we are thinking about. What will Daniel study at CU? Is Ryan still involved with student council? I smile just thinking about him-he is so funny! How is Jonelle liking Arizona? Will she stay there next year or will she have to do auditions again? Those auditions are intense! I was surprised to see how much pressure these dancers are under.
Leah and Daniel are doing well. Daniel is a big boy-tall for his age and very smart and oh so cute with his blond hair, blue eyes and dimple. We tried to get a Christmas photo out this year, but I didn't like how they turned out. Leah is in gymnastics and doing very well. We are considering moving her into competative gymnastics. I think it would be great training for her. She is smart too and a Girl Scout. She sold 310 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.
I know Jim would love to talk to you. We keep talking about the cruise we are all going to take together!
Love to Kathryn and the kids!
So sorry that it has taken so long to respond back. Haven't been on the site for quite a while so I'm making a blitzkrieg now and trying to catch up with everybody that has written.
I trust you and Jim and the kids had a good holiday. I've had on my To Do list to call you guys for the last 6 months. That's pretty bad isn't it.
Life has been very busy. My business has been growing and I haven't figured out how to manage it very well. Working way too much. I have 3 employees now and we relocated our shop to a larger unit in the same complex. I have a bucket truck now. Do you remember Mark Kelly (married to Cat O'Hara)? He works for me full-time now.
Christi Fletcher called us before the holidays from Florida. She said she has been doing a few things with you and your business. Sounds like you have a great business. Before you know it you'll have the same problems I have and will have more work than you can handle. If you figure out the secret to managing it please let me know.
Jonelle has been home for about 6 weeks on break. She returns to Tuscon next week to resume with the ballet company there. She still has your old white car. Daniel is planning on going to CU in Boulder next year. Ryan is a freshman in high school. He's tall and skinny and still full of it.
I will call soon. I haven't talked to Jim in a long time and want to catch up with him and you.
Love,
Brad
Leah is growing up so fast. I get tears in my eyes when I think that in 10 years she will be going off to college. She is fearless, intelligent, and sweet. Daniel (3) is so cute, funny, athletic, and very, very smart.
We moved to Orlando in June 2005. It was challenging because we didn't know anyone, but it was good to have a fresh start. Jim is a software engineer. He gets 3-12 month contracts and is working for Disney at this time. I have my own business as a legal nurse consultant. I worked in the CCU in a hospital when we moved down here, but I would leave at 5:30 am and come home at 8:30 pm. Not the best for the family. Now I work from home and it is better for the whole family. Jim handles all of the finances of the business-thankfully. He makes sure all of the taxes are paid on time and correctly. The challenge is that work is not consistent so if I am not working on cases, I am marketing.
My parents live 1 1/2 hours away so we are able to see them about 1/month. It is a blessing for Leah and Daniel to know their grandparents and for me to be close to care for them if needed.
talk to you later.
My girls are 11 (Nadine - 12 in February) and 9 (Sabrina - 29 in July *L). They both do very well on their teams and if you think they are competitive from those pictures wait until I post some with the elbows flying!
Look forward to seeing more pictures of your family and getting to learn more on what has been going on with you and Jim over the last several years. I can't believe Leah is 7 already. The last time I saw her she was riding on your shoulders waving at everyone down in Dallas.
