  • Hi Sarah,
In answer to your question, I am doing great. However, I received a message from Terri (Schock) Wilson yesterday which was not so good. I see your name is not on the list it went out to, so I will paste it here.
I am so sad to let you know that Arild Mikko Funderud (15th and 16th
Corps) fell asleep in Christ on October 1, 2009. A memorial service will
be held in the Williamsburg VA area on October 24 or 25 -- details are
not yet complete. To share memories of Arild and/or send
condolences to his family, go to
www.wilmingtonburialandcremation.com . His wife, Judy, has a page
on this website, or you may also contact me or Peggy DePasquale on
this site. Thank you for your prayers for the family.

Many of us were with Kai and Mikko for several years, both GREAT
    men!!
He was also International Corps, in residence the same time you were.
I thought you would like to know.
    God Bless you.
    Tom K.

  • OK! Now that I have found a person that has incredable taste in divers music.
    I declare war on you!
  • What a grreat bird. I also know a childhood song about a cuckaburro sitting in an old gum tree. Tufted titmouse are common around our house, but no the rufous hummingbird.
  • Dear Sarah, Thank you for your kinsd remarks and it is good to have you as a friend in here as well. thankyou for inviting me to your great country - I think most Norwegians have a dream of going to Australia - it is a great great country. California is on my agenda for next year - we will spend close to three weeks there during Easter/Springbreak - looking forward to that. So my next big travel may be your way.......=) Have you ever been to Norway =)? As we are headed towards winter here - you must enjoy every summer day coming your way =) hug, love gro
  • I DO remember abd its great to hear from you. I noticed the bird on your profile- we are birders and that one is new to me- what is it?
    Thanks and love- Hayward
    I like the Van Morrison
  • Sarah! So good to hear from you. I loved checking out your photos and seeing you and your family. One day I'll get some photos on this site. I'm usually about ten years behind the times technologically.
I'm majoring in Anthropology at New Mexico State University. I'm a senior now. Not really sure how many more credits I need. This semester I'm taking Intro to Archeology and Physical Anthropology. I really enjoy learning about how different people live around the world. Opens us your mind.
Glad to hear you're going back to school too. It's easier to negotiate when you've had some life experience. My teachers are about my age so they feel like peers. Most of my friends are professors. It's easier to be organized and figure out situations too.
Peter teaches graphic design at NMSU. He teaches design principles rather than software. Right now he's writing a book on sustainability and design. He's was in Australia for a conference a few years back-not sure which city, and some relatives down there.
I rake gravel (it is the southwest) now instead of leaves.
  • Hi Sarah ,Saw you were on the site and been meaning to say hi , loved your pictures you have a beatiful family. Glad everything is well .

  • Hi Sarah. Great to hear from you :-)

My boys (15 and 16) and daugher (21) and I are planning to come to Australia already next year. Would love to come by and say hello. You have some great kids too I see :-)

I am leaving for the States on vacation for 3 weeks this coming wed; going to California and Florida at least, so that will be fun.

    Talk to you soon

    Love

    Tom

...yeah, life is good here too. I enjoy seeing God work and see it most often in my marriage and my business.
He's just seen me through one of the most difficult two year periods of my life after two very close deaths -- and the coolest thing was He was talking to me -a lot- especially during my worse times. But I spent a lot of time asking and listening, not always the case.
Probably was easy because I was in such need and one thing I know is that there is no other real help but from God. Learned that on a most wretched WOW year way back when.
But all those seasons are past and a new one is at hand. I'm trying to continue to lay STILL several times a week and listen and discern... but I have been going to ballgames and we (local team) have won the 1st round playoffs just last night! First time in 4 years.

Lots of things to say...guess I should go to private email! Write anytime.
I WILL see you - in Australia or in the air :) Your sister, Debra
