I'm finally answering you! I'm visiting with my sister, Lynn, in Spokane Wa for Thanksgiving and found some time to read mail. So you have a sister in Seattle. Love the Pike street Market and go there for the best Stromboli sandwich ever, when I visit. I'm going to do the 3day Breast Cancer walk there next November. What to join our team? If you go to my brother Pat's name on this Way Corps Sight, he has a web page about it. He lives in Seattle and he's our team captain. We are the Rack Pack. His wife Donna died from breast cancer in 2000 and we've been involved in raising funds for research ever since.
Paul Dionisio says my picture is blurry and sucks so I'm looking for a new one. This one was taken in SanDiego on the 3 day walk last year. You can't read it, but the box on the guys head says "free mammograms. Place boobs here."
I thought it was pretty clever!
I attend a foursquare church where my brother Mikes is the assistant pastor. Very small, about 100 attendees. I run a Thrusday am womens bible study there. They think I'm smart because I use Greek words. A great group of women who have spent their lives being faithful to God and their families. They've taught me a lot about ernest prayer and waiting for God's timing. So if a little bit of Greek rocks their world, I'm happy to oblige.
Hope your Thanksgiving it wonderful and restful and I'm sure we'll chat soon. Love, Tricia
I'm not sure if we've ever met... but I keep noticing your postings when I'm mailing to people & can't help but notice that you seem to be in touch with some of my 7th Corps brothers with whom I was very close. I also haven't seen any of them here; like Sid & Jerry. I had no idea they were in NJ, where I was with Jerry & Joyce (I was SO sad to hear about her & Joe Guarini & many others) in the early 80's. I left TWI in '84 & haven't been in touch with anyone other than a handful of people until this wonderful site. Are they still with The Way? Any chance of them coming on board here? Are Rico & Don still around? I look forward to hearing from you...
Thanks,
Sherry :)
Well they say the mind is the first to go and I think mine may be leaving....Paul and were so blessed to hear from you, we shared some warm memories of you and Rick- talked about our comment back and for some reason, I thought I had already typed it out- I now realize it never made it to the computer, LOL...
We were very blessed to see you comment and pictures of your beautiful family. Yes, real men do have 4 kids- Ha,ha- Ours do not have the range in age as yours, as we were already 7 years into the marriage before we had Caleb. So, we ended up with 4 kids in 5.5 years, kind of like a pack. They are great and all very good friends with each other. When Caleb come home for Thanksgiving from the
Air Force Academy, we will ask him if he knows the Bergoo brothers. This is his first year and he mainly just knows his squad and cadets in his class. Our paths have not crossed with the Cushingham's and I"ve not heard that they are down here, but they could be. Our home fellowships are mainly our family and very local friends. We are extremly thankful for all God has blessed us with and for the joy we can have knowing we will have eternity together.
Give Rick a hug from us-
Paul & Nancy
