  • Rob, I Love The Beauty Of Your Heart And Soul You Are That Tender Sweet Man Of Velvet And Steal That I've Always Admired.......... Next Time I'am in Fla. Maybe You And The Old Jbird Can Get Together .
  • YES,

And John (not Bob) Denver was the butt of many Monty Pyton skits....deservedly so...some of his music was horrendous.

But, this song is about my native home West Virginia and was a national hit....one of his few. Why, they even had it on juke boxes in Ohio!
  • OMG, I can't believe you have Bob Denver on your playlist. Don't you know they used to use Bob Denver records to torture prisoners in South Africa?

Poor Bob, died flying an experimental plane. Apparently the experiment was a failure.

  • I'd love to have you come visit, my brother. We could go on a pub crawl within walking distance of my house. Women are always having bachelorette parties in this town where they roam from bar to bar in pursuit of peculiar challenges.

One time a woman came up to me with scissors and said her bachelorette mission was to collect men's underwear tags. She said I didn't have to do anything, she could just reach inside and snip it off. She said if I had Gap underwear with the label sewn in I was exempt.

I consented to this invasion, but sure enough, I was wearing Gap boxers, and she walked away empty-handed. Only afterward did I think of a better response: "Sure you can have my underwear tag. If I can have yours."
  • Rob,

Love that telemarketer video! That is a classic. Also, good advice from the old hobo.

I'll let you know if I have any luck with your dream advice. If only dreams would go the way you want them to!

    Cheers,
    Karl
  • Hey Rob, I just realized I never wrote you back! Good to hear from you, and not only that, to actually see you for once.

I don't dream about The Way so much anymore, but I frequently dream that I am back in college, high school, sometimes even elementary school, though I'm fully grown. Usually there is a test coming up that I'm completely unprepared for, like a final in a class I never bothered to attend.

I also often dream that I'm about to move to some dubious destination in a strange city. In the second place, I'm not sure I should go at all, and in the first place my flight leaves in an hour and I haven't even packed!

I also have a bizarre recurring dream that my mouth is filled with some kind of gooey, black pitch that I have trouble pulling out with both hands. Now that is a troubling dream. In one strange variation recently, I dreamed I was getting to second base with some woman when I had to pause to extract one of her hairs from my mouth. Nothing so unusual, right? Well, next thing you know I had big strands of her hair rooted in my mouth, and I was straining with both hands to pull them out! As you can imagine, this was not a big turn-on for her, and I never made it to third base.

That's my story and I'm stinking with it,
    Karl
  • Hi Rob,
This is Lenny. You look well for your age (same as mine). Cate and I got to see Lowell and Eileen a few
years ago and Gary Lee's house down in Logan. They
looked well also. My son just left Fla. to go to Iraq
as a gunner on an AC-130 gunship. We would be very
thankful if you would pray for him and all those serving
    in the military.
We had some good times in The Way in WV back in the day. If we are ever in Florida we would like to come visit and sit a spell.
    God Bless You,
    Lenny
  • Wow, I'm blushing! :-) Yes, we got married in France. A sort of dream come true for me. I visited France back in 1995 with my cousin Judi and an aunt. We rented a car (a dangerous thing to do in Paris) and drove till we found a castle we could spend the night in. It was so cool. We were giddy all night. I thought, if I ever fall in love, this is where I want to get married..et voila..five years later there I was (different castle, though). Okay, different topic.. Have you seen the movie, "The Replacements" with Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves? I love it, and reading your profile reminds me of the movie, like it would be one you'd like...football, Florida, comedy, heart... God bless! Becca
