"Karl, I found your book a very worthwhile read. I loved it, it clarified many things. Many of my experiences were mirrored by your experiences. I found your depiction of life in the ministry to ring true with the ministry and leadership style I…"
"Thanks for the offensive video. At least it's better than Bob... another year and still no word from the old timer. I even bought his latest album - you'd think he'd send a note!"
"Kristen,
Thanks for writing the book. I got it from Amazon and read it last week. I couldn't put it down until it was finished. Thanks for mustering the courage to put your account into print - and for writing it so well. It's a deeply affecting…"
"As a teenager I used to strum on my old beaten-up acoustic guitar every day. I've taken up guitar again now - only electric this time, and much bluesier."
"Your "about me" section had me laughing 'till my eyes watered. Actually, I've read a few of your comments around the site and... I hope you don't mind but I'm arranging with some old friends to put your name forward as the next president of a…"
"Good to hear from Dinorah, and happy birthday. Yes, we're in Brisbane, Australia now. Do you ever fly out this way? If so we'd love to see you again. BTW, we can't get Costa Rican coffee beans out here! So I've been getting Brazilian beans. They're…"
"I agree that this site works best when we know who we're talking to. And with that real name policy, it's also important that the forums are only visible to logged in members."
"Nice work David! And thanks for posting it Terri. I haven't seen either of you since we used to sit together in the Indiana Campus dining room. I just saw Dave once again at an event in Dallas where we shared a beer (quite a few years ago now). I've…"
"what's the dif between Australian rules football and rugby?...
Well, in Aussie Rules, the physiotherapist comes on and punches an opposing player. In rugby, the fans punch each other."
Good to hear from you; it looks like you are back in Australia now? I was recently at Camp Gunnison and ran into the Moynihans who told me about their time in England and made me think of you and Grace.
Marsha and I live in the state of Washington; we have 3 children (7,6,& 3) and we own a Real Estate Development company. Work and children keep us really busy.
Hope all is well with you and Grace, please send our love her for us.
God bless you, Rhys. Good to see you again. I still remember the day a bunch of us hopped in a HQ van and spent the day at Cedar Point amusement park. I always loved roller coasters but I think that day cured me...that one was so scary! My life's a lot tamer now....Hope you're doing well. God bless ~ Chere Poole
Hey, Rhys,
In that hat you kind of look like all the pictures Vincent Van Gogh painted of himself. But if I wore it, I'd look like Indiana Jones, I'm sure. I'll track one down and get a picture. You'll see.
I did see our the wifely half of our friends with the (how do you pronounce the name of that breed of dog?) little dog at the AC Special in November. This time I didn't ask how it was doing (for fear of bringing up a touchy subject again.) She volunteered that they have another one and that it currrently is quite alive. Made me think of you, though, and wonder if you will be making a trek this way anytime soon. If you do, take your own dang picture!
Rhys, It was wonderful to see your comment ! Thanks! I think every time someone new leaves a comment, my heart heals a little more! I am well, and enjoying LIFE! I trust it is the same for you? My little girl occupies much of my time and keeps me busy... not a chance of a complaint about that!!
Have a wonderful holiday, and hope to hear from you soon!
Rhys, it seems the PM system only works for people added as Friends. It's a peculiarity of this board. So I have added you as a Friend and await hearing from you.
There is also a "Chat" facility here, which would require both of us to be online simultaneously, which has happened.
Hi Rhys. You posted on my page on 18 November that you would like to contact me (you asked for my email address and I let you know about the private messaging system on this site) so am a bit surprised that I have not heard from you since then.
