About Me
I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and love the Florida lifestyle. My two sons are now grown. David is 26. Jonathan is 22. They are amazing. I'm honored to be their mother.
I work in the field of early childhood education at a private school. I love it.
It's very rewarding and I love the children. My Way Corps training is clearly evident in my career.
I no longer associate with any kind of ministry group and am very happy and comfortable in life. I have grown and learned so much about who I am and what makes life meaningful.
My Interests
A little bit of everything! I'm working on some book material. I love to write and wish I had more time. I'm usually busy doing something along with my teaching. I love living in Florida and imagine I would most likely freeze if living back in NY or anyplace north of Atlanta! I have a pool so I enjoy swimming to stay fit and to look at the gorgeous blue sky.
I spend a lot of time with my sons and their girlfriends. The boys have a band and they're actually very good, very creative.
I like to travel, enjoy all the antique shops here and of course, the beach, watching sunsets or walking. I have some wonderful friends and we enjoy dancing, movies, shopping, people watching, music.
I like to read as I'm certain most of us do. Sometimes I even try to speed read! Remember that crazy stuff we learned! But I always go back to regular speed.
Employment or Career
Teacher
Degree in Early Childhood Education
I get to spend my day working with young minds eager to learn about everything!
When I walk into my room, they are excited to see me each day. They keep me laughing and I get to teach them everything from the rainforests to geometric dynamics (come on, did you realize 4 triangles make a square??) It is a privilege to help shape young minds.
Music I Like
I have always loved all kinds of music. Everything from Baroque, Opera, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Progressive... to Indie, World, Folk... on and on. There's almost always music on wherever I am.
Movies I like
my all time favorites:
Lord of the Rings is just a fantastic story of life's journey.
A Beautiful Mind is exceptional, by far one of the best movies and stories put on film.
Out of Africa is lovely, beautiful script.
Casablanca says it all in b&w.
Sports Teams I like
Bucs, even when they lose. They reach out to their community.

I think of you often and am quite thankful for the wonderful influence you have had on my life. I never read Psalm 27 without thinking of you.
God Bless!

What a wonderful treat to see that I had a message from you.....We sure do have some stories. My daughter, Bess, was in the kitchen with me a minute ago, and he asked about you while I was reading your message..so I told her some stuff...Remember, Becki, when we would get so tired on Corps night or other nights, and we would lean on each other to keep our heads up? (or maybe you were just helping me keep my head up! ) I know you know I love you. It's so good to see you and hear your voice in my mind while reading the words you wrote.
Well, since it's Dec. 21, I'm going to go write some Christmas cards...I just hate to be too early sending them! I'm thinking about going Christmas shopping tomorrow! I will write again before long. I love you, Becki.

What a great picture of you. You are as beautiful as ever. I was going to say that you look just the same and then I realized the picture is from Columbia days...How funny. You are as radiant as ever.
I loved reading about what you are doing now. Those lucky little kids to get you as a teacher. You just being in a room is like a big hug, a breath of fresh air, a deep cleansing sigh. I always wanted to be just like you but I think I ended up more like a bull in a china closet.
Being with you in MO was the greatest year of my life because it set me up to get the most out of what was to come.
I also am not involved in ministry group. I am just trying to live what I know which is a lot.
If you click on my name you will see my photos...I don't look the same...baby fat...lol. Your boys are handsome and they are in a band. Good genes there. I am sure they can write some crazy tunes if they are anything like dear ole dad.
I love you Becki.

Thank you so much for your positive comments about New Orleans. I was in college when you were living here and didn't get into The Way until ‘79. Katrina practically destroyed everything I worked for and it’s been quite a long process to salvage what I had. It’ll take years for this place to fully recover; it's something you have to see in person to fully comprehend. But as I mentioned, it’s giving us a chance to make it a better place to live and work. It's easy to find fault with just about anything and you’re sure to offend someone if you voice your opinion, but it’s hard to offend anyone when your focus is only on the good. Thank you again! Tommy
You don't know me, but we met many moons again at ROA 1974. It was my first Rock and I had got sick. There was a healing serivce one evening and I went up to you and Donnie and you both ministered to me and my fever was gone immediately. Thank you for the wonderful memory of my first ROA and God working mightily in all of our lives. God bless you and your family!
Love, Susie B.
You were always so sweet and wonderful - my first twig co-ordinator in the Corps. I am living in Stamford CT and right now it is freezing and Florida sounds good. I am a pediatric Occupational Therapist. I work in a private practice and I do some work in the school system. I love working with kids. They are so honest and full of life. So glad to see that all is well and you are happy.

It's surely been a very long time. I lived with you and Donnie in the trailer on my Interim year with Polly Moore, Barbara (now) Lundgren and a few others. Did Paul and Ruth Michol live there too? My memory of that time is fading.
Good to see you here.
