One more point.  I have about 10,000 words of essays and poetry, of which this is the title piece, and in the future will? be a book."

  • Mike, loved your piece on the 10th corps page.If you are ever in CA come and visit ,you are always welcome.God bless, Bob.
  • Hi Mike and Rita-
God's richest blessings to you. We were so blessed to see your note and hear from you again and then time slipped away as we were putting together a proper response ;-) * now you are just hearing me blab, LOL-
Yes, we are all getting that gray hair and hopefully some wisdom with it to continue to persue making Christ Lord in our daily walk as we look for his coming kingdom.
Our country wanted "change" and they are getting it- let us stay faithful to our heavenly citzenship and King and get others into the kingdom while we can...
  • God Bless you, bro. I appreciate what you went through in Iran. My father was born in Ukraine, after the revolution, but he survived the Holodomor (the Ukrainian Holocaust) and he taught us kids the importance of making sure we utilize the freedoms we have in this country and not letting the government or anybody take it away. I learned that this country is a republic, not a democracy by Hays Gahagan of this ministry - and Doctor Wierwille himself supported Ronald Reagan and all he stood for (Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!). Now that freedom has just started to happen for some of these countries, including Ukraine, there are some who would want to take this freedom away. Thank God for the ability to still hold fellowships in our homes and that storm troopers are not snatching us away to prison for the way we worship! Sometimes, though, I think that we may be on the verge of that (God forbid) if we do not speak out and pray for God's grace and mercy on this country!
  • Mike,

Was it Ben Franklin that told the lady that asked him, "what have you given us"
he replied, "A republic, if we can keep it".... something like that. I sometimes feel like we are like in the times of Samuel when Israel wanted a king and God finally told Samuel to give them a king and then he proceeded to also tell them the cost. I can't help but think that maybe that's what's happening to America. We left God out of our lives and we left the principles our forefathers founded for us and now it seems many, not all but many are crying to be like the rest of the world, socialists. And what lies ahead for us if we go this route, bondage. Our kids will pay the biggest price. Now more than ever people need to hear about Christ and the Word. That is our only hope. Keep speaking out, keep speaking the Word.
  • Hi Mike,
Keep speaking up. I don't frequent this place as much as I use to but I was pleased to see your responses on the health care blog. I'm in agreement with you. Good job
  • Mike, Hi. I have been reading with interest your information on the blogs. I have been trying to figure out where I know you from. Until you said you were in Iran. Did you know a dear girl from Arkansas, Nancy Dakin - she used to wear a necklace with her name in Farsi. She got me my autographed copy of Jesus Christ our Promised Seed when I was working bless patrol behind the main tent during the service and couldn't get one myself. Haven't seen her in ages......since the Rock of Ages, that is.
  • Hi Michael, God bless your heart! We had a great time hitchhiking together in the corps. Remember when we memorized the first chapter of Ephesians and when we visited my sister in Decatur, Illinois. Many good memories! It could be today! Lots of love, your corps sister, Laurie (Yarnell) Coggins
  • Hi Mike,
It's good to hear from you! Three children and a grandchild! Life does go by pretty fast!
Say hello to Rita for me.
    God Bless you!
    Carolyn
  • Hi Mike,

I remember you pretty doggone well, and Rita I can't quite place but the name I certainly recall.
I just always liked that song and I don't know why, but then, I guess I don't need to know why I like it: it's on a need to know basis, hah.
Glad you are doing well, and if you have some recent pix of you and Rita et al then upload them if you can.
Thanks for the reply, and it was good and did warm my heart to see your name.
    All the Best,
    Rob
  • God bless you my dear brother!
Good to hear from. Give my love to Rita. I am excited to see that God is still the center of your life. It seems we've been at this for quite some time, yet I think that i"m finally seeing God at work in a great way. Times are exciting and I believe our best days in seeing God at work in us are yet to come.
A renewed vision of Word Over the World has excited me to live for Him and only Him. love you,
    Jean-Louis
