About Me
I'm married to Christopher Hallett, 15th and 30th Corps, for 22 years and we have 2 girls, Becca 20 and Lily 17. We went through the Corps training with #30 together as a family at Gunnison, 1999-2001 and our assignment was state coordinators for NH/VT/ME. We left that position and the ministry in 2005, but have stayed in Bow, New Hampshire--that makes eight years. We do not participate in any other church, ministry or group
We have two daughters and three cats. My younger daughter, Lily, is an avid rock climber and talented writer and artist. My elder daughter, Becca, is self-starting her modeling career in Boston and enjoying success. We're often in Boston ourselves and think it's a fantastic city.
For myself, I write poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction, as I have time and discipline, and participate in two writers' groups to stay active and connected.
My Interests
Writing and Reading
Gardening
Outdoor activites: walking, skiing, etc.
history, politics and animals
Employment or Career
I am self-employed as a freelance writer and insurance agent. Since coming to New Hampshire, I've also worked fulltime as a non-profit administrator for NH Public Radio and NH Writers' Project.
Music I Like
I like lots of music but could not name any of it -- mostly it's what my daughters put on. I just follow along.
Books I Like
I am a big reader. I love novels and creative nonfiction. I don't do so well with nonfiction that doesn't tell a story. Along those lines I really enjoyed Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, The Soloist by Steve Lopez, and The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner. Too many more favorites to list.
Television I like
The Office is my favorite right now-- I recently watched every show in order through the first 5 seasons so I got the complete stroy line and sequence of events. Not in one day of course. Now I'm waiting for HULU to post all of season 6.
Movies I like
Too many. I was surprised to really like The Hangover. I also like Into the Wild, Little Miss Sunshine, I Robot, 16 Blocks, Lords of Dogtown.....Pulp Fiction is my all time favorite. I can watch comedies like 13 Going on 30, The Devil Wears Prada, Freaky Friday, or My Big Fat Greek Wedding over and over again, especially after a hard day.
Sports Teams I like
The Red Sox and The Patriots of course, though only because I live in New England not because I watch any games.

How terrific to hear from you. Enjoyed reading your "About Me". You writers always seem so good at, well, you know,... writing. Sounds like your girls are sure active and talented - which is only logical. How blessed you are.
Constance has certainly shared of having stayed in touch with you over the years. That is priceless. She is certainly a wonderful woman of God and a dear friend to us, isn't she.
Amid all that we go through in life, God's love is certain; God's Word hasn't and doesn't change. Ephesians still reads the same as it did 30 years ago. Yea!
Peace to you and Christopher and all our love,
Sara (and Kevin too)
Love you,
Roberto
read your article. The matching scorpion suits - from Bow no less! When I just drove up to the gas station an hour ago - I saw a Tahoe with a trailer hauling six Skadoos. A mother and a daughter - they were going up to Grand Rapids - here in Minnesota everyone goes north - as far as snowmobiles are concerned especially around the Central Lakes Area near Brainard. That is where the Scorpian Company was founded - the company went out business in 1981 and it was their annual Homecoming days that started the love of collecting them.
It was really cool - googling Vintage Snow Mobiles and your article comes up all over!
I chuckled when you wrote about driving a snowmobile and throwing everyone out in a heap.
I understand from the trails that people tell me about - the more level they are - the better - and more fun - I guess Minnesota is great for that - Gunnison in the Rockies espeicaly behind the main structures - lots of places to tip over.
I would love to see that article for the Way Magazinge you wrote - my Email Is MattSahib2003@yahoo.com.
Well it looks like you will have an interesting Sunday.
Keep me posted - OK?
It would be cool if you sent a couple of your articles to your old professors at Emory.
I know how excited my mentor Bill Wyckoff - a geography prof - was when I asked him for his feedback on some of the material I am working with - they often are thrilled to hear from their old students -
