  • Hi LewEllyn,

I am certain that it must have been when I was at Emporia. I am 13th corps. Thanks for the note. In answer to your snow comment, it is in the low 80's today. My husband and I went for a three mile mountain hike this morning. It is beautiful here. The only downside is the 115 degree summer days. On corps night they would read the weather for the onces who called in for the hook up. It would be snowing in Ohio and the Phoenix caller would invariably say that it was in the 90's or something like that.

Any way, I am certain that is why you look familiar. I don't recognize your husbands name eventhough I met many of the 15th since they were my younger corps.

    Love and blessing,

    Tracey

  • Hi LewEllen,

You look so familiar to me. Did you used to live in Arizona in the early 80's?

    Bless you,

  • Thanks LewEllyn. I just found out about this site and am glad for it. Glad you are doing well!
    Bless!

  • How nice to hear from you! Yes, I remember your wedding. I am glad you are doing so well.
  • Hey you guys! So excited to see you on here! Mike and I are living in TN right now but we'll soon be moving to 40 beautiful acres in KS. We've found a community like yours with that rural feel and that's where we plan to stay for a while. I cannot believe your girls are so grown up! I'm feeling really old right now!!! Abby is now 9 and our son Cecil is 6 -- they're both growing like weeds and enjoying every minute of life! Any way, so good to see you -- your picture are awesome!

  • Were on the road until mid June when we go to Leland, MI for the summer. It is really different--sometimes very challenging, sometimes just plain fun, most of the time just great, especially when we get to connect with old friends along the way. We will definitely be in Atlanta from April 19-28th. Would love to get some of our old fellowship group together for a cook-out at Stone Mountain which is where we'll be staying. when we get closer to the time and start finalizing plans, I'll let you know so I can get in touch with your mother.

    God's best always,

    S

PS I do remember you now--as I said in my first email your face looks so familiar--I just couldn't put all my memory fragments together!
  • Good for your mom! Is she still in Atlanta? We plan to be there in April for about 10 days. Mother is almost 85 and still going strong! Teaches a Bible Sutdy once a week, goes to the Symphony with a 91 year-old "boyfriend," and generally has a great life. So, all is well here. God is good, all the time...SR
  • Hi LewEllyn,
I worked for TCS Cable in Orlando for 7 years and then was hired by the company that owned alot of cable companies including mine and White Mountain, but my office was at the White Mountain Cable facility. I got hired in December but we requested to stay in Orlando while working for them until the kids got out of school in May. I would then fly up to NH a couple of times a month and work out of both offices until we moved. That was God all the way because the company got bought out in February and alot of us got let go as they already had our positions covered. We would have started new and enjoyed NH as my family is still up there, but man I love Florida so I'm glad it worked out in my favor. I now own part of a deodorizing franchise with believers (also ex-way) and work for myself. Sorry for the long explanation but that is how close we came to living in NH.

  • LewEllyn! I don't know why but this message just arrived in my inbox yesterday! Go figure. Thanks for the clarification. I certainly remember your mother very fondly and, as I said in my original note to you, you look terribly familiar! Now all the pieces have fallen neatly into place! I just needed a little help to fit it al together.

On our travles we're back on the east coast in SC visiting my brothers, Franklin and Foter Smith and my mother. It's always great to be home for awhile.

Please give your mother my very best. What is she up to these days? I think we had a pretty sweet fellowship in Atlanta--we were sad to leave all that but it was definitely time to head out for another adventure.

    Best love always.

    Stanley
