LewEllyn Hallett commented on Michael Schiano's blog post Baby, bathwater, bathtub, shower curtain...
"Hard to believe it's been that long, and interesting to read the comments and see where we were. I've evolved in many ways--new degree, new career, a couple of new homes in a couple of states, and my kids well set on their own paths. But none of us…"

LewEllyn Hallett commented on Peter R. Doliber's blog post Update from 2008
"I hope Peter didn't go. I just caught up belatedly with this blog thread and appreciated his heartfelt post very much. I understood (I think) his purpose, or need to communicate his perspective on time spent in The Way. Sorry to bring this thread…"

"Steinbeck is a favorite of mine, going back to high school when I devoured all his books one after another. He had incredible insight into the struggles and heart of the common man, and expressed it so powerfully as you've illustrated here. As…"

LewEllyn Hallett commented on Karl Edwards's blog post First Century Church in the Twenty First, “No Thanks”
"Glimpses into the lives of these men and their daily actions is intriguing, more so to me at this point than word studies et al. However, there are a lot of "if"'s in the post above. We can never know what those books or scrolls were, or if it was a…"

LewEllyn Hallett commented on Karl Edwards's blog post First Century Church in the Twenty First, “No Thanks”

LewEllyn Hallett commented on Sarah Wilkinson's blog post Writing
"Wonderful insights, Sarah, thanks. As a reader, I tend toward novels for reasons she expressed -- I experience people, places, cultures, conditions unknown to me. And it's not a cerebral learnning; it's the heart, bone, blood, and guts of the…"

LewEllyn Hallett commented on Sarah Wilkinson's blog post On the Road Again!
"WOW. People think I move a lot but now I realize I've been pretty stationary. Now I still have this question, tickling around in my head, because a year is barely time to get half the boxes unpacked and you're off again -- Why? What inspires you to…"

  • Not sure if you got my email. Was great to hear from you. I sure miss you guys, and tell Christopher I said Hi. And never underestimate the love of our heavenly Father! No allegiance with man made groups needed, as long as we keep our allegiance with Him who cares for us each day.
  • Hi LewEllyn,
God bless you. Thanks for the note. Dave and I are
doing great. We live in Florida. Being from New England I miss the winters some times. We recently took a family vacation in Montana and went skiing. The kids (6 & 9) loved the snow.
Your family is beautiful - God is good!
Give our love to Christopher - we have fond and loving memories or you guys!
    Love,
    Gayle
  • HI LewEllyn,

How are you and the family?
would you say hi to Christopher for me?
Thank you, Gods best to each of you.

  • What a surprise when David told me about your Way Corps, Way Staff history. I wouldn't be surprised to know there are others out there in NH land that I don't know about either. There have been so many Way Corps since the early Corps that I knew. Relationship with God is a continual delight.
I'm going to Ky to visit Valerie in April and will miss this years writers conference for the first time in several years. I will miss it. Have fun with it. See you sometime.

  • Hi LewEllyn,
It is so great to hear from you all again. We are doing very well and so blessed to hear you are as well. I was excited to sign up on this site, but have not had alot of time to add stuff but pictures are coming. Life is amazing as we almost bought a house in Bow, NH about 6 years ago. I was hired by the parent company of White Mountain Cable (Epping I believe) and chose Bow because of its schools. I did not want to leave Florida but it was an offer I had to take and I grew up in the Lawrence, MA area. My family now lives in Methuen, MA, Kingston, NH and Derry NH. Quite a small world. We visit usually every other year. I wiil be flying into Manchester sometime this spring for business and we plan on visiting the area in early December. We would love to see your family if at all possible. Please give Christopher a big hug from the "Hickeyman".
    Take Care,
    Bill
  • Hi LewEllyn God bless

We'll give you guys the grand tour with well advanced notice. Howdy do to Chris.
    Luv u,

  • Hey LewEllyn,
I am a Field Rep. for P&G, so I am all over the retail sector of Alpha.,......I do plan on visiting Boston in the fall, my good friend Connie lives there now and she is asking for us to visit soon....my son attends Savannah College of Art and Design , as you know that's nex door to the High so it's like a pit stop for us when we go to mid-town..we will be checking out the Georgia O'Keefe collection tomorrow, I am so excited. So far, my favorite exhibit has been the "Impressionism"..just last month and the Quilts by the Women of Gee's Bend, this was so full of heart and history ...an art past on from black slaves to the next generation, these women were strong and "believed." My most favorite thing about Atlanta....We have visited New Hampshire a couple of times, we had some great believer friends in Jamaica, Vermont now they live near Vince Finnegan's fellowship.
I saw your garden ..loved it! We are gardners too... can't help myself! As spring arrives, I'll have to post some photos.
    Take Care-
    Betsy
  • Hello LewEllyn-
Bless you guys! Say Hello to my "homie" Christopher...WOW
I am thrilled that we are able to connect...I work in Alpharetta. love that area, it's grown so much and is continuing to. Is'nt Duluth just "awesome." It has become multi-cultural...we have a huge asian population and restaurants ...we go out for pho (noodle soup) just about every other friday. We live in Old Towne Duluth and it's really a tight knit community...just don't speed thru here because they will catch you....I don't think our police dept. has anything better going on.
Well, let us know when your in the neighborhood....God's abundant blessings on you all. You have a beautiful family!
    Betsy
  • Palm Harbor is in Tampa Bay, Florida, in the west coast of the state bathed by the Gulf of Mexico. Yes, I saw the pictures right after I wrote that message. You have a wonderful family. Are the Chappels near you? I believe they were assigned to New Hempshire or Rhode Island, IK forget which. By the way, I saw them in Ohio in November on the CFFM grounds.
    Love you
    Roberto
  • LewEllyn, great to hear from you! We shared some fun times... workouts... I'm still at it! Yes 4 kids... I am from MA, though I haven't been back in a few years. I will contact you if I head that way again. Thanks for getting in touch, I'm not on here often either but will check back on occasion.
