I spent most of my life, without a dime to my name-
While friends all around me, made fortune and fame-

But oh the price he paid, for me
When my ships were coming in, they…"

  • One can make good money doing that, playing for tourists. I did it back in London years ago, many many years ago, just to feed my habit HA! But thank God, He feeds me now.

If I ever, not to sure when this will be, make another CD, U gotta play that harp on it.
  • Kevin. I did listen to it, thats why I sent you the comment. Very impressed in deed!
If I was you, I would quit my day job and go on the road lol.

  • Kevin,
You still haven't lost your charm! Actually, I think I did know, and truth be told, I had a crush on you too, but there was always that age thing... 26-28... being a cougar wasn't cool then. What am I saying? My ex-husband was 4.5 years my junior - guess I got over the stigma somewhere along the way (no pun intended)! Life has been interesting and very, very busy. I have two gorgeous sons, Ezra and Zechariah Funkhouser (22 & 18). Ezra just graduated from Purdue and my youngest begins this fall. As I write, Ezra is in Mexico with his lovely girlfriend of 4.5 years, Yesenia and her family, and Zechariah is asleep on the sofa, but he's getting up shortly to head over to work at Wrigley Field! I went back to teaching (High School English) when Doug and I separated, He moved to California in 1997, and even though he sees the kids at vacation time, I have been both mother and father or should I say, both good cop and bad cop! I am also a landlord of an "It's a Wonderful Life" type of building, so there is always something to do! Up until 2001, I had two vintage buildings to take care of - somebody shoot me! Needless to say, I was beyond busy! I managed to keep in touch with only a few bythewaysiders: Agsten, the Shirleys, Stewart-Sanders, the Kreibels, and Mark Harnishfeger, It is so great to be back in touch!
Looks like you have a beautiful family. Write when you can.
    Blessings,
    Melinda

  • Kevin,
I've no memory of the blow dryer. And I haven't used one for years and years.
What happened to Pat Rufino and when?
Yeah, I am from Rochester, NY. I've lived in Texas for nearly 35 years.
    Take care.
  • Happy Birthday Kevin. I still think the USA needs a lot of prayer right now. God's blessings to you.
