Oh The Price He Paid

Okay, who knows the lyrics to Oh The Price He Paid" which Stevie K. Louie sang, and I think Dean Ellenwood wrote? Maybe you could post them here?

  • Well, it really helped that you (John) put a link to the song on here.  I don't have a copy of it handy.  But it was sure a pleasure writing it down...Wow what powerful Words!
  • The writers of Oh The Price He Paid were Larry Panarello and Dean Ellenwood..Larry wrote the lyrics and Dean the music. It is a most wonderful song and always gets to my heart and soul.
  • Thanks so much Vicki for providing these awesome lyrics. Now anyone can copy and paste them.
  • Oh The Price He Paid

I spent most of my life, without a dime to my name-

While friends all around me, made fortune and fame-

I felt my life wasn’t worth, the pains of my birth-

But oh the price he paid, for me

When my ships were coming in, they went down off the cost

My friends all ran out, when I needed them most

I thought my life was nothing, but God made it something-

Oh the price he paid, for me

In my eyes, I was nothing, to no one

But in His eyes I reigned supreme

Then I found I was worth, more than all the treasures on earth

    To God I’m worth everything-

Now I’m standing today, where all the winners have lost

I’m counting God’s blessings; they’re counting the cost

I finally won it cost God His Son

-and oh the price He paid for me

Well there’s a lot to be said

And so much to be heard,

But what’s worth believing if not God, and His Word

You’ll find that you’re worth, more than all the treasures on earth

And oh the price He paid, for you

In your eyes you may be nothing to no one

But in His eyes you reign supreme

You will find that you’re worth, more than all the treasures on earth

    To God you’re worth everything

And now you’re standing here today, where all the winners have lost

You’re counting God’s blessings, while they’re counting the cost

Yes you finally won, it cost God His Son, and oh the price He paid for you-

Oh the price He paid, for you, for you~

  • Oh, yeah... that hit the spot this morning!! Ahhhh.... such wonderful, positive, inspiring music came out of it all, eh? Has to be the result of believing and doing at least a few things right!
  • Another classic. The fantastic Stevie Kay!
  • Both of those are great songs.
  • Well so much for that ..I see this woman who claimed to have written those songs has deleted the videos...

Now if you go to the link all you will hear is a song she says she wrote about her Dad and his car..

I;m glad she backed off cause He Gave Me Love and Oh The Price He Paid are both near and dear to my heart.

All of us Corps need to stand up and fight for each other if need be

God Bless You All I Pray Everyone Had a Wonderful Thanksgiving

  • Yes this is a great everlasting song .It was written by Larry Panarello and Dean Ellenwood .

I just ran across a woman by the name of Donna on Your Tube that claims she wrote Oh The Price He Paid and Stevie Kay's song He Gave Me Love..
That is a downright lie from the pit of hell .This Donna person is passing both of these songs off as her very own originals . Man oh man what a crock.
