Hello Ken,
I have been busy raising two sons Ezra and Zechariah Funkhouser, teaching high school English, managing two vintage buildings - got rid of one - something had to go, and I figured I'd keep the kids! Not much time to perform for the past decade, but now that the boys are older (22 & 18) maybe I'll get my act together and ... We attend St. Pauls United Church of Christ here in Chicago - it's wonderful. We get to help people in our own backyard. We feed and house the homeless at night during the winter, sponsor an orphanage and a senior home only a few miles from where we live. Great fellowship and music.
Ever get to Chicago?
I have relatives in Tampa and will be visiting this winter - Sarasota is only a hop and a skip away, so perhaps we could have lunch! Give Helen my love - I think of you both often and with the fondest of memories. Tell her I would have written, but I could not find her on the web site. Are you and Helen on facebook? Friend me if you are!
So great to hear from you!
Love and blessings,
Melinda
Ken,
I sent an email but it didn't deliver. Thought I sent it here but it doesn't seem to have pasted??
Ah well. Here it is again;
Hi Ken,
Great to hear from you. You and the missus have aged well. It is amazing how fast time flies. At least that's what the Polak said when he threw the alarm clock out the window. It's almost 30 years since we went to Emporia.
A lotta water under the duck since last we met. Are you on Skype? If so, my name is revelationpaddy. We can talk for free computer to computer. It's amazing.
My second girl Leah, (I have three) is in Vietnam doing the one year world tour at present. We sat with a laptop and spoke direct while looking at her, and she us, in real time. I cannot fathom how all this stuff works.
But technology advances are one of the signs that we are in the Last Days. That's what I write about. I have come up with some very novel information from the Word these past few years and a couple of my books have been very well received. This shows that God has a sense of humor as I probably drink too much Guinness.
But all my books are designed to lead folks to Jesus. So I am still trying to win a soul or two along the way.
What about you? If you don't have Skype, you can download it for free.
Not interested in Mona Vie, ( I like Sambizon Acai berry) but wanted to say hello to both you and Helen. Ken would you please be so kind as to pass this memory along to Helen? I was making chicken salad earlier and thought about the women's luncheon in Greenville that Helen hosted a ver-r-r-r-r-ry long time ago. She had made a delicious shrimp salad, probably the best I've ever had, and shared that her grandmother had taught her that the secret was dicing the celery very finely. I've always remembered that and make chicken, shrimp and tuna salad the same way. Well, I do toss in a few other ingredients, but shootfire if that finely diced celery isn't the key;) Love to both of you and thanks to Helen for teaching me that and so much more!

Ken I sometimes visit here at WayCorpsNing. Wonder if I could ask Helen a question that I have been mulling over. Does she recall any song she performed by Bill Gaither? I think I may have heard her sing the one I have in mind but can't recall title. Would surely appreciate any help... Love to you, Don Ball

Fond memories of sitting around the camp fire whilst hunting pheasants in the country somewhere and telling jokes; "Where's me M and M?"
