This is so wierd. I was watching the ROA 72 video today and so were you. Heavy man. But I wasn't there until 74.
Today is my birthday.
Give Lynn my love.
God bless,
Lynn Grove (and Willy)
I see that, as always, you are in need of people who will let you call them your "friend". For old times sake, I'd be willing to allow that. Even for new times sake.
Okay, so I need someone to call "my friend", alright. There! You made me say it.
Del Boca Vista is a reference from "Seinfeld." It was the retirement village their parents lived in. We send out cd's and learn our parts. Then we have one rehearsal the night before at Kens house in West Hampton. It actually has sounded surprisingly good for the amount of production time we put in, but we stick to songs that we pretty much remember. Ralph was there last year and got a kick out of it. Lots of people showed up for it. We are going to try to advertise more this year. Oh yea, I think you knew Pete McLoughlin also. He sings some of the lead with Rick Hoffman.
We are going to be playing at "Top of the Warf" in the Hmptons on July 25th. I'll be staying at Ken Ellis's house. Mo Potts (Marc Potoksy will be playing drums, Mike Vignola on Piano, me on B-3, Tom MAestri on guitar and trombone, Ed Miller on accoustic, John Quaderer on bass, and maybe Bob Vignola sittin in as a guest. We've done this the past two years and its been fun. We call ourselves the "Del Boca Vistas." Let em know if you would consider coming!
