  • Wow! All those boys through some seriously expensive universities.... I was very impressed with Andrew. He is the same sweet person he always was. A joy to be around, and so wonderfully loyal. I regret not knowing Eddie and Stephen better. Jake is sweet like Andrew. He is such a wonderful young man of God. He and Andrew will both meet a wonderful woman to settle down with some day. Right now they are in their wandering and experiencing the world phases, so, with Jake, I try to milk every moment I can grab with him, and moments are truly hard to come by as he works and then LOVES to fish in the Gulf of Mexico. He is usually doing one or the other when the fish are running. About the only time I catch more than a few moments with him is with fellowship. We have a very sweet fellowship in Niceville with Shari (Erikson) Wierwille, her mother, Kitty and husband Dusty, her sister Robin and Robin's family and numerous others you wouldn't know. Shari's son, Johnny was married to Jessica McMullan recently and that was a joyous time of working together as a fellowship family to put on this wedding on the beach. Rev. Robert (Bob) Darnell: "Dr. Bob", officiated and Johnny's brother, Victor, was the best man. A great time with both families being united through this marriage. Johnny and Jessica are two of the sweetest believers I currently know. We had a blast.

This weekend Jake is traveling to Tennessee to attend the weeding of one of Anthony Gillmore and Patreace (Blessing) Gilmore's daughters, Hillary. Jack and I wanted to go, but could not get away from work, though I am still contemplating and trying to scheme a way to make it.

Well, there is always so much going on, isn't there? Life is a blast and I am thrilled with the privilege of watching this next generation of believers, our children, grow into such fine young men and women of God. I love you, Kathy. I will always remember fondly our days of trading off sitting and watching our children, who were fast friends while we were at HQ. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Take care, my friend and know that I long to assist you in any way you need. By the way, what is "HR"? Just curious.

    Bless and Love,

    Tina
  • Howdy ex-neighbor! So wonderful to see you on this site. I was only too thrilled to sit with Andrew at Johnny Ray's wedding! He is such a wonderful young man. How are the other boys and what are they up to. Jake is home for a while after 2 years in California. It is such a wonderful blessing to get to share home with him again b/4 he heads off for the "rest of his life". He is quite an accomplished fisherman and worked as a deck hand on a charter boat for about 6 months right out of high school. He is a wonderful believer with the same tender heart he's always had. Johnny Ray and Lisa are still in Virginia Beach, where they were married, and he is still in the Navy. He is contemplating getting out as this is his re-enlistment time again. We'll see. They have blessed us with 2 wonderful grandsons. Well, just wanted to take a minute to say my memories of you are so very, very sweet and God Bless. I hated it when I lost touch and should have done more to keep up. Sorry.

    With kind respect,

    Catina (Tina) Wilson
  • Hi Kathy,
Just saw you on this site. How are you? Last we spoke you were working at the U. I tried to reach you there when I was going to visit Syr, but couldn't track you down.
Love to catch up some time.
    Dick
  • Hi Kathy,
Just want you to know that Lawrence and I are right outside Boston if Andrew ever needs anything. I remember seeing him at Johnny Ray's wedding - you have a delightful son!
Love to you and your other sons,
    Barrie Lewis
  • Hello Kathy! So wonderful to see you here. Andrew gave me your address when he blessed us at Johnny Ray's wedding, but I lost it. I am terrible keeping up with papers these days. (One of the many areas I'm working on makiing a strength.) Andrew looked wonderful! I'm sure he is finished at Georgetown now. What is he doing? Johnny Ray & his bride, Lisa have remained in Virginia Beach where the wedding took place his entire almost 8 years now in the Navy. They have blessed us with two wonderful grandsons: Johnathon Riley and Joseph Ray. Johnny Ray is a wonderful young man who loves God and is an incredible father. Such a joy to observe. Jake is living in San Diego with a group of young believers and enjoying spiritual growth in great leaps and bounds. His love is fishing and he is contemplating again working on a Charter boat (something he did right out of high school). He has and is currently working in his Uncle Jim's unique auto shop where they only work on high-end cars = Jaguars, Lotus, Rolls Royce, etc. He spends a lot of time fellowshipping with Donnie and Bernie Smith, our former LEAD partners', boys. He recently road across country to Anthony Gilmore's with Starr (Smith) Edwards in a 1970's Volkswagon Van! Talk about a flashback!!! A tremendous growth experience. While home, he went fishing with Victor and Johnny Wierwille, Shari and JP's boys and had a blast. (Like I said: loves to fish.)

Well, I just was so blessed to find you here and wanted you to know I often reflect on our precious times together raising our toddlers and infants at HQ.

    Love ya,

    Tina Wilson
  • Hi Kathy, Sorry I haven't emailed back til now -- just crazy busy as always. My program is going much better. I will have 15 students in September. Would love to talk and catch up. Call me sometime soon. I am going to North Carolina next week for a bit of a break. Hope to talk to you soon.

  • Hi Kathy,
Bob says hello and he has fond memories of you from the Minnesota days. I keep telling him he needs to get on this website and reconnect but he has phone phobia -so I think it has carried over to the computer. When he gets home from work he doesn't want to know it even exists! Thanks for letting him know he is still remembered! Darla
  • Hi Kathy,
Of course I remember you. You worked for Duke at the limb in MInn.
And you typed my Corps "thesis" in the basement of your dorm. I think I still owe you something for that.
How'd you end up in Syracuse. Just wondering. It's good to hear from you . I hope you are well.
    Don
