  • Happy birthdayJohn. I think I like your profile as one of the best I have read. It makes me laugh in all its honesty. I can sorta understand. (Except for the pets thing.) smiley-signs146.gif

Anyway, I hope you have a good one.

  • OMG - I laughed so hard when I read your profile - such a "smarty pants" you are (that was a nice way of saying it). Why am I not surprised?!

Such fond memories of you in Fellow Laborers. Wonderful, wonderful to see you again. Hugs, Chris
  • Hey John -- Good to see you on this site. I sent you an e-mail. God bless.
  • Hi John! It's been a while since I wrote on your site here. You're a great man John, full of love and a pure heart for God. Your friend, Debra
  • Ya know, I kept seeing that a guy who plays football (socker)
for Chile who's name is Jaime Moreno. I often wondered if he was youe son or related to you in some way.

  • Hey Johnny, Wonderful to hear from you.
I did have a child during our interm year. Then we came back into the corps as family 4th. It was a blast delivering a baby during a Corp program....and it was the natural way too! Poor Joanne. 1st and last child that way!
We sayed in Chile as Country coordinators for a long time and 12 years ago we came back to US to settled down ad dedicate time to my now 4 kids. We're all doing great and the work of God's ministry in Chile is in very good hads.
    Keep in touch bro'

  • John. what you wrote me just made me laugh out loud. It is funny that I would have never remembered that. Thanks brother! We had a lot of good memories. Now I will have that song in my head for a long time. As you give you receive.

  • Hi John,
Saw your profile and remembered OH Fellowlaborer days long ago. Good to see you here.

  • John,
I do remember you.I even came across an old photo of us standing in the organic garden in Fellow Laborers just last month. How did Boise happen you ask.... well, after four years in New Jersey, I was sitting talking with Vince Finnegan and Joe Guarini about the Corps getting involved in the WOW program. I thought it would be fun for an assignment so.... I ended up in Boise in 1982 and fell in love with the city , the mountains etc. and I'm still here. How did you end up back in Ohio? It was good to hear from you. Gwen
  • You knew me John. I was one of the WOW's in Cincinnati back then. It would be cool to make a list of all of us. I think there were 28, 7 families. I'll try:
    1. You
    2. Debi Washington
    3. John Alspaw
    4. Hal Ayer
    5. Alison Burroughs
    6. Stephanie Korioth
    7. Me (Lee Tabor)
    8. Bob Thayer
    9. Peggy Koerselman
    10. Dan (Big Dan with the red Barracuda)
    11. Mike Farmer
    12. Martha and her 2 kids
    13. Dan's girlfriend (I think they got married)
I can remember more, I just can't recall their names.
I worked at a donut shop and would bring big bags of the day old donuts to the meetings and all you guys would chow on them. That was hilarious. I recall Alison walking every morning down to the corner to hitchike to work. She'd get a ride in about 5 seconds every day.
    What a trip!
