"Hi Ian, sounds like you are making some progress. We continue to use Ustream, now I convert them to an archive on Vimeo, so people can listen without the ads etc. So it's much cleaner that way.

I'ts great to see the encouraging support on here, and also via a good few PMs I have had.

  • Hi Ian,
I am not sure if I have met you before... were you at Headquarters in Ohio during the summer of 1983? I went to International Summer School that year and took the Advanced Class at Indiana.
Maybe? Maybe not! Anyway, have an excellent day! smile.gif

  • Hi Ian

I stumbled across this site accidentally and lo and behold there are names and faces from the past. Glad to see you are doing well and enjoying life.

    Cheers

  • Hi Ian,
Nice photos of Gartmore. Who owns that place now, the Way???
What was your involvment with it? I can see why so many in the Way wanted to visit it.
  • Hi Ian,

I am not sure if you missed my message the first time, but I thought I would try again. I do trust all is going well with you in London. I would love to hear from you.

    Blessings,
    Liz
  • Hi Ian, I e-mailed you a couple of days ago, I'm Not sure you recieved it. In short it said...."Get down here...Newquay airport. we live at the end of it "Kernow Trek Lodge, Trevarrian"
    God Bless

  • Hi Ian, I am not sure we ever met but I wonder if you know or have info on the whereabouts of Avril O'Hanlon or Trevor Ballentine? I spent time with them in the 12th Corps. God bless you and thanks! Sandy McKay
  • Hello Ian...how nice to see you here! I always remember the first time I drove a car with 5 gears - it was yours :-). Now I drive a 5-gear while everyone around me of course drives an automatic and thinks I am from the ark! I love my old reliable Toyota though - gets me from A to Z and has never given me any trouble.

I always remembered what a great bible student you were, and I wondered if you had read or heard any teachings by John Mulinde. He really raises the bar on faith and commitment in a way that has left me breathless, full of questions and more to pray and praise about. Isn't it incredible how God's Word never runs out of freshness and vitality? It truly is alive and ready to breathe new life into us through each phase of our lives.

I haven't written much on my personal page - I threw it up in a hurry. Life has had its challenges, but I am humbled at how much God has taught me about Him in suffering that I didn't seem to be able to appreciate when I thought life was good. And that has led to a deeper joy and appreciation of my Lord Jesus. What a paradox!

But anyway, I am living in the US, where I do a lot of singing, teaching both in ministry and professionally. I have been blessed with two beautiful children - now teenagers of course, who keep me very busy. But I treasure every moment they are with me. David wants to play soccer for England (!), and Isabelle wants to be a writer. She also plays piano and a mean trumpet in a local Jazz band!

How is everything going with you?

    Many blessings to you :-)
    Liz
  • Dear Ian
As you said ,the one body is throughout all the church epistles. If it's a big deal to God it should be a big deal to His children. It's so carnal to cut people off because they don't see things exactly the way we might see them.We need to strive to keep the unity.
I'd never connected the use of the word conformed in the verses in
    Romans12:2 and Romans8:29.
    How dynamic!!!
    Alison
  • I remember Craig Matindale doing a 2 session teaching about 6 hours long , I think, on the Great Mystery our first year in residence. I know its an overused phrase but it really was mindblowing.I would give my right arm to get a copy of that teaching. God bless Bob.By the way Ian have we ever met. I did visit Gartmore a couple of times.
