About Me
I did finally finish the corps, but with the 17th corps, graduating with my brother who is still with the Way and still Way Corps in the eyes of the organization.
I started college with the intention of studying Nuclear Engineering. Accelerated Transmutation of Waste was my interest. Maybe I will blog a little about that later. But I knew I would eventually have to transfer to K-State and working full time with children established in schools I realized I couldn't uproot them or my work for my education and decided that being a Math and Physics teacher in the high school would suffice. It would give me more time with my kids, and allow me to venture into the areas I love to ponder.
I have worked as a programmer/analyst for the last 17+ years. All I can say about that is this is a profession God gave to me. I loved it from day one but it is demanding and you can never master the field as it is constantly changing. Right now I have completed the analysis and design on a bankruptcy project and am almost completed with the first phase of the data structure, core processing, and the interface. I am getting to use Java with this very cool plugin called the Spring Framework which were new to me when I began, but now my boss thinks I am truly a geek since I love what I do so much. He may be right.
Last June I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I am fully able and I know God won't allow me to be tempted above that which I can stand. So as my late counselor would say, I am an optimist,,,still. You can still see that shit eating grin on my face. It will never fail, because God has never let me down.
Today I have 3 lovely children Sara 15, who is one of the most talented kids I have seen. She has had agents and casting directors in LA show interest in her singing and acting talent (but the child can dance too.) We didn't move to LA because she has friends here but she will be heading out there in 2 and a 1/ 2 years to attend college.
Scotty my 10 year old is a brilliant kid. If it interests him he will learn all he can about it. He is a wealth of knowledge and definitely a self study. He is living proof that kids with ADHD can excell. He is also a terrific character actor already at 10, and plays the trumpet. His goal is also to be an actor but he is considering meteorology, or zoology as his backup plan.
Bethany is my 8 year old. She's my sweetheart. Always giving always sharing. She has been singing and acting too (the apples didn't fall far from the tree.) She shows tremendous potential especially in the singing category and because she is more dedicated to practice then Sara ever was I believe she will someday surpass Sara. Her goal is to be a Rock Star.
They are wonderful kids and many times what keeps me going.

We have so very much to be thankful for, don't we? I see we have several friends in common, and of course I remember your brother Scott. I admire your commitment to become a teacher in order to spend more time w/your kids. We only get one shot at motherhood, and we have such an impact on our kids' lives...not something to take lightly. You go, girl! God bless! ~ Chere
Love you!

Sunday we had a fellowship in the morning, and went to visit someone in a rehab centre in the evening. He ended up entertaining my kids the entire visit, which blessed him a lot. I came on the computer to put holds on some music for Molly's history project (she wants to do the Underground Railroad, so I thought she should listen to some of the code music) and since I haven't been on for a couple of days am catching up. I haven't been on this site in about 4 days. Lydia just finished English and Molly is doing history. Bjorn gets the morning off, but we usually do school in the afternoons in the winter so I can get some work done. It doesn't take more than a couple of hours to do his academics (no time wasted for behavioural issues or having to wait while the teacher explains several different ways to help kids with different learning styles.) My girls need longer, of course, as they're in middle school.
Three more semesters--the end is in sight for you! You've been through a lot since I last saw you, but God is always good and always faithful. I think it's great that you're doing this, and am always happy to see faithful people become teachers. It's a lot to raise three children as a single mother, so you have a very full plate.
A lot has happened over the years, but we are doing well. I am more blessed now than ever.
I'm impressed with all your science stuff--I have one who starts high school xt year and wants to do it at home--and she wants to be a science major. I never did study Physics or Calculus. Funny how when we were inresidence I never knew that about you (but how much never came up, right?)

I just had major surgery in my spine last Weds. and I am still pretty drugged up and enjoying it. I needed to have 2 vertebrates repaired and new discs as my real ones blew all over the place. Well anyway, So please send some prayers to God on My behalf. I Liked your Blog.
God bless you and love to you
