About Me
In this great season of my life: Just coming back from 8 year break of taking care of aging mother, then handling her estate, then passing on her property. Enjoying new granddaughter (#6) and looking forward to opportunities to share God's Word, as God opens the door.
My Interests
Right now getting life in order after 8 years as caregiver/executor.
The rest of my family, and the Bible.
Employment or Career
Worked on staff at Way International, New Knoxville, OH, from 1974/75 (first year in Way Corps Special with the 5th Corps at HQ) until 1985; WOW Rover in Europe 1985-1987; 1988-1999 worked own business "A Portrait in Writing", ghost writing family histories, autobiobraphies, war memoirs, etc.Traveled and worked from my home in Ohio. At same time, taught Bible seminars wherever God opened the door, pretty much east of the Mississippi. Spring of 1999 moved to CT to take care of ill and aging mother. Overnight career change from writer and teacher of the Scripture to Primary caregiver. Had to learn many new skills. She died in peace 5 and a half years later just short of 93 years old. Followed by three years of sorting out estate and property, completed exactly one year ago.

I am still new to this sight and how it works. I only today got to read you response. It breaks my heart that I didn't get in touch with her. I am sorry for not being more a part of her life the last several years. She meant so much to me and she has been an inspiration to me over the years.
I live in Ft. Worth Texas right now. I am planning to go home to CT in July for my 30th class reunion. Perhaps we could get together then.

I am not all that nostalgic and thus am not browsing very often on this site .... but most definitely wanted to say "hi" when I saw your name now on here. It seems like it has been "ages and generations" since we last met ... in the meantime, our children are already out of the house, but we currently enjoy having our 4 year old granddaughter with us to keep the "Opa" on his toes ...
Have a wonderful rest of the holiday season and wishing you all God's best for the new year.
Lots of love from across the big pond

So good to see you on this site! does that mean your back on the email trail?? Would you be my friend??
Miss our walks and Bible sharing times....
I hated that we lost contact re: holiday cards. It is so wonderful to have found you again! You may not even remember me, but I remember you and I'm grateful to our Father for the crossing of our lives. This is my first time on this site, though Jack has told me about it. Today is Jack's Birthday! He is a youthful 59! We won't say what that makes me. We are so tremendously blessed here in Pace, Florida. Our boys will be coming in for Christmas, so, as you might imagine, life is very active right now in a wonderful decorative sort of way.
It was so wonderful to see you on this site! I truly enjoyed my time in the Corps with you both. Jack and I need to get a scanner so we can get some pictures on the web. I've told Jack, but we rarely shop in the electronics department. Our oldest son, Johnny Ray, only recently convinced Jack to get a cell phone!
Speaking of Johnny Ray; he is married almost 6 years and in the Navy 6 1/2. He married his high school sweetheart. They have blessed us with our first grandson, Johnathon Riley who is now 16 months and our second, Joseph Ray, is on the way. Our youngest son, Jake is in California with his Uncle Jim learning to work on Jaguars in Jim's shop and attending auto mechanics school. Jake is 22 and Johnny Ray is 25 as is Lisa, his wife. What blessings God has bestowed upon us!
A few years back, Jack talked me into taking up golf by buying me a set of clubs for Father's Day, so that has become our recreational activity together. We are abundantly blessed and would love to have you come visit and stay with us here in Pace anytime. Lonnie Nelson (8th Corps), his wife, Vicki (9th Corp?) and son, Sam, were just through.
Well, that's a little about usl. We love God and continue to coordinate a fellowship in Crestview with some wonderful believers, including the parents of Jane Stokes,10th Corp: Howard and Arlene Stokes. What an inspiration they are.
Keep holding It high,
Tina (Abrell) Wilson

How great to hear from you. We were just in Rye, NY visiting Bob's parents and then my Mom in Orange Co, NY.
Have fond memories of you and your Mom. I am blessed that we will see her again.
Life keeps moving on and a quite a quick pace. It is great to see all that God has for us to do in continuing to speak His Word and to teach it.
In Christ,
Susan
Great to hear from you. We haven't seen you lately, but I have spoken to others who are in touch with you. Hope all is well with you, and you have adjusted in a good way to your new situation. We had a fun Thanksgiving with many of us present.
Love you,
Mimi

How wonderful to hear about your life since HQ. I knew about your business ghost writing autobiographies. My mon is 88 years old but still able to be independent and has her own home here in Honolulu. However, she needs helps with her legal and financial affairs. My dad passed away five years ago. Dorothy and I have two sons 19 and 22, both in college. She still sings professionally and teaching voice and piano. I have continued to practice law, but out of a home office since 1995.
God bless you,
Nolan and Dorothy Yogi
