This site satisfied a great need. After the implosion, I had no way to discover where people were, where their hearts are, and the places they have gone. It was a great joy when you opened this venue. I’ve found so many people I care a lot…"

"Jeff, you may find Peggy by getting in touch with Michael Cortright  (ekklesia@cortright.org).  The Cortright and Olsen families are both from Allegan and were quite tight."

  • Just a note to let you know I haven't forgotten about that picture. I've looked for it but haven't found it yet. I'll keep looking as more basement boxes are unearthed. 8-)
  • Hi Dean,
It's nice to see you are doing well! You have a beautiful family!! I am not referring to the three brown ones that seem so close. Nice! We have deer in our yard quite often but I've never seen that yet!
Actually I think that's funny. I'm glad to see you still have a sense of humor. I really count on mine! God certainly has one! Take care, Donna
  • Hello, Dean, Thank you so much for getting in touch! And what a nice memory you have kept to bless me with this day. I had forgotten that particular definition of friend, nevermind the conversation. Thank you for remembering and reminding me. I think I'll write it down. God bless you and your family, love, Elena
  • Hi Dean, I think I do have that picture ... somewhere. I'll have to dig through some stuff to find it. But Ken was our twig leader then, not Andy.
If you didn't see them, I have photos from our lead venture on my page.
  • What is that picture, that is tough!
  • Dean;

Sorry for a very very delayed response. I had a hard drive crash on my laptop this past week and have fallen behind on my emails. All is good now and I’m back up and running. I miss the good old days of #2 pencils, piece of paper and an AT&T phone hooked to the wall and tethered with a cord. Some how it seemed a lot easier back then without all the new gadgets. Certainly a lot cheaper.

Of course I remember you and Becky. I have wonderful memories of both of you. Those were some great times for me in the Twin Cities.

How exciting you’re a granddad. Were the heck have the years gone. It would sure be great to some how get back with all the wonderful people of our past one more time. I guess that will happen some day in the future.

If you and Becky ever find yourself in Idaho please know there is always a bed in our home to sleep in.

    Give your family my love.

    Reed
  • Well, back then, "every" neighborhood had it's pure-hearted little way-missionaries. People from all walks of life are afraid to touch offerings of foodstuffs, be ignorant if ya weren't, and even middle-class neighborhoods have it's set of lesser cars. At least ours were parked in a long, beautiful driveway obscured by awesome trees. The house was a peach. The man rented to us year after year because we took good care of his place. I remember the boat he let us use. I recall mosquitos on the lake, and some cold times. Long ago.

I remember lying on the back dock seeing the meteor shower. I recall a bunch of snot nosed kids, some more pleasant than others, learn a little bit more about life.
I'd rather be one of them than someone who was remote or bitter - it all worked out in the end with God looking on the heart as he does. The world is evil no matter who you are.
I recall being snowed in and deciding against long winters henceforth. It wasn't the best of times nor was it the worse of times. Chanhassen.
Guess we all look at things from our own perspectives.

It's a fun site, mostly, hope you enjoy as I have.
  • Oh man! We had such a great time visiting with you and Becky... many moons ago. How the heck has it taken us so long to get together again?!?!

Tell that girl to get in *touch* with me! We could meet half-way [?] ... have dinner, compare pictures of grandkids. [Okay. I can't believe I just said that. I'm officially old.]

Lots of love to you and Becky!
