About Me
Since graduating the highlights of my life have been my ordination in '82, marrying the greatest woman in the world (previously Teresa Linnemann) in '84, the birth of our Sophie in '85 and the birth of Lauren in '86. Our move to Scotland in '87. Since then the highlights are too numerous to mention. Being baptized in the Jordan last year was pretty special and my daughters wedding two weeks ago was just too much.
I have been involved in the things of God since leaving the Way Corps but these last ten years I have found a depth of relationship I never really knew before. I serve locally here in Crieff, teaching, playing music and pastoring around 130 wonderful believers.
My Interests
To please my Heavenly Father. To attempt to follow in the steps of my Saviour. To grow in the things of the spirit by being more aware of His presence.
To spend time with God in prayer
To spend time with Teresa in prayer
I love spending time with Teresa and the girls. Any time spent with them is precious!
I love to read usually Christian books or business books. Books that can impact lives.
I love playing my guitars of which my McPherson is by far my favourite.
I love to lead worship music and I play in a band called "born to worship" and we play all over Scotland.
I love golf and play to a handicap of 10 and I have recently has the joy of two hole in ones. (Lucky or what!!)
I love helping people especially those who have become lost in life or at least have found their wheels spinning.
I love to help couples get back to loving each other
Employment or Career
I have no real qualifications that would impress anyone. I studied Engineering at Stockport University but I am not an engineer, yet God has allowed me to find favour in the eyes of men. I started in sales when no longer having a job in the ministry in 1984 and I became good at what I did. I love meeting people and presenting solutions so sales was perfect for me. I also understood and acted on what we were taught that Leaders are Readers. I began to read and practice my skill and God did the rest. I have had the joy of building businesses with others since 1984 and have been on the Executive team of 4 companies who all grew from small concerns to valuable enterprises which eventually sold for over $300m each. Doing this while still maintaining my integrity and my Christian faith and attempting to balance my home life has been an incredible challenge. I now run my own consultancy practice called CAPSIUM (Creating a Passion Starts In Understanding Me) . Who we are is so much more important than what we do. God made us human beings not human doings. Who you are reflects the nature of what is inside you. If Christ is "in" and that is what you nurture then Christ is what will be seen on the outside in everything you do. As leaders we must set up the atmosphere in our enterprises so that we can nurture the nature of what we are all about. I am developing a Leadership Training company with my new son in law often referred to in his field as the "bird whisperer". We called the company The Way of the Eagle. It is based on principles in the book of Proverbs. We teach such things as vision, being honest regarding where you are and where you want to go in life, releasing your God given "creativity", finding your compass for what you are here on earth to do, keys to working as a team to accomplish outstanding results, the need for patience and persistence and communicating clearly so that the other person understands what you are saying. We do this with the use of a team of 15 wild birds from Bengal eagle owls, falcons, harris hawks and golden eagles. The use of wild birds to demonstrate the leadership principles really helps to solidify the concept in the mind of the students and it is a lot of fun.

You are such a lovely man. Look me up after the gathering, I want to hang out with you. And I will race to our Lord's feet to hear him teach!
Love you,
Janis
I read that book Bait of Satan. What I got out it is nothing is worth my fellowship with God, what other people do or don't do, say or don't say is not concern, it's HOW I respond that is of matter to me and my fellowship with God. I don't get mad, I excuse myself.
I may just share that at fellowship sometime. It's freeing. No worries!
Guess what we did at fellowship last night? Laughed for over an hour. At how silly we used to be, how we tempted God in a lot of areas without realizing it. One guy says, I had a Vega (a really bad American car from the 70's), he used to stop it by putting out his foot after slowing down. Like Fred Flintstone. We all said how silly was that? If you believe God to protect his foot, why could he not believe God for the money to get the brakes fixed. And we laughed some more because it is so simple. If God can do one thing, He can do whatever we need. We need to allow God to help us.
Thought you'd get a kick out of that!
Janis
It is great to read a little of where the Lord has taken you,

Thanks for your message. You're right we were out in Florida visiting Fred and Leonie. The picture was actually taken at Discovery Cove where we were able to swim with dolphins. The boys loved it of course.
It's lovely to here from you - give our love to Teresa and the family. Vivienne
