About Me
I run a music studio teaching violin; musicianbyheart.com and am a licensed Brain Gym instructor. movementbyheart.com. I love being able to help people do what they do better; esp.with differing rehab/learning processing needs that BrainGym can assist with. I have a long standing (family) love for our veterans and volunteer at the local VA hospital. My other passion has been the raising and showing of Irish Wolfhounds, although the ones I have cherished the past 15 years are gone and I look forward to another.
My Interests
See above! And...I absolutely still love to share the Word...looking to the author and finisher of my faith! The open doors abound and I can't imagine life without that purpose. Too much fun!
Employment or Career

Music I Like
Classical, Celtic, bluegrass, blues, folk, country...etc. Anything good that lifts the heart and inspires! And yes, some opera takes my breath away...with songs like like "Nessun Dorma."
Books I Like
Well, besides the Bible, usually canine related, and then stuff about how the mindy/body system works. Anything you can find on BrainGym.com and scripture based informational books. Good selection at the bookstore link www.stfonline.org. Lots others of course. Really, anything that is about how we are made and how can live and love better. I also love history, especially American history; any of David Barton's works. (Wallbuilders) and just about all of Glenn Becks stuff. Lots to learn!
Television I like
Not much...but the Hallmark channel has great movies with heart and gentle humor. Sometimes TBN or Daystar. You can hear someone preach well, or just get entertained. Fox news, and most of their hosts. Doing that less..this planet is a mess and there's just so much misery I can handle talked about from that screen!
Movies I like
Needs to have SOME modicom of intelligence/heart and good humor.
An oldie now, but "Raising Ned Devine" is an example. I felt The King's Speech was terrific.
Sports Teams I like
Umm...

On Sunday I am showing my Bill.
You can get a live internet connection by going to the Crufts page or following this link: www.cruftslive.tv . I don't know what it will be like & figure it is unlikely that a relatively obscure breed like the buhund will get much coverage but still it will be interesting.
Esp for you to watch on Thursday - however, we are 5 hours ahead of EST and judging starts at 8.30am so you may want to watch the catchups!!!
Cheers, Nancy
You have some lovely pooches there!
Love and blessing,
Dan
Well, Crufts is next week. Bill and I are entered into two classes on the Sunday. Maybe we will get a ribbon. That would be the icing on the cake. After Crufts I expect we will do something more active - he enjoys that more that standing about posing!
Cheers, Nancy
beautiful Irish Wolfhounds!
I had never heard of Brain Gym. Sounds interesting though. I got on their website but didn't spend much time there, need more time to explore. I would like to know more about.

Bill & I went to a small local show yesterday and actually came first - in a class with more than one entry! We came first twice, second once and fourth once (fourth is called reserve here, fifith is very highly commended, sixth is highly commended & seventh is commended - but they don't often go down that far!!)
We won money!! A grand total of £2.00 ($4.00)... that might cover the cost of gas to get there, the show was very close!!
But boy did it feel good to be first!!!
Cheers, Nancy
Bill & I have qualified for Crufts next year... look out for us in March 2009!! Seriously, that will be the end of my show career... he is not that good a dog & does not enjoy showing very much... he does enjoy agility so we will continue in that sport.
I see a Wolfhound won BIS at the Hound Show here, good for them... can't be easy when you are up against a million beagles, etc!
Best regards, Nancy
Bill & I got 4th (they call it reserve here: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, reserve, very highly commended, highly commeded, commended - and red is first, blue is second!)
I was pleased with him, he behaved well, took it all in & settled nicely on his bench. And he enjoyed seeing all the buhunds.
happy christmas, nancy
