About Me
I married Judith Halliday of the 4th Corps in 1980 and we have two children, David K. who is now 23 and Valerie who just turned 21. While David lives close by Valerie has moved to Kentucky.
My dream trip was to Egypt. Upon our son's highschool graduation Judy took him to Scotland for 10 days. For Valerie's graduation from Massage Therapy school they took a cruise. After serving on the Concord School Board for three years it was time for my own trip. A friend had used a tour company in Cairo to help plan a trip for three of them in Egypt for 10 days.
I connected with the company and they helped me lay out 12 days of travel from Cairo to Luxor and back up to the Saharra. A guide and driver met me in each area of the country and at times I would meet up with another family or a couple going in the same direction. It was a great trip. These are a few photos from Giza.
My Interests
For outdoors hiking in the White Mountains is my favorite. I enjoy it all year round, although during the winter I tend to stay off of the peaks and ridges. While I enjoy the snow shoes and crampons I do not go so far as to hall out the ice picks. But the views found from the top of the mountains during all of the seasons in New Hampshire are spectacular.
Around town my interests have focused on support of our schools, volunteer on the PTOs, serving on the School Board, a board member of other nonprofit and arts organizations, staying connected in the arts, getting out to gallery openings, plays and of course the musicals that Judy loves so much. (While attending my first opera, at the outset, I turned to Judy and said, "This has music and singing in it." The sad truth is at the time I worked for the NH State Arts Council as the Grants Officer. I knew opera was music but sitting there it dawned on me that I had a long night ahead of me.)
Employment or Career
My work has been primarily in the nonprofit community in New Hampshire. I currently serve as the Executive Director of the NH Bar Foundation and focus on funding legal service programs for the poor.
Music I Like
Honestly, after high school and all the hard rock all I ever enjoyed were groups such as Joyful Noise or Agape. Currently I have a favorite gospel singer by the name of Ken Fernald who performs throughout New Hampshire and Maine. (Judy loves music.)
Books I Like
This again would be a long story as I have so many. I started keeping a log of books and authors a couple of years back.
Currently I am reading "When Jesus Became God" by Richard Rubenstein. I love history and am amazed at how messed up the Church was by just the 2nd and 3rd Century. I really feel for God, He has had such great intentions for so long.
Television I like
Interesting enough as Judy points out on her page I have come to enjoy "House" and "Grey's Anatomy", although the sight of blood or even discussing surgery with Judy gives me shivers. I must have been tramatized that evening at dinner when she described the brain surgery she observed at work that day.
Movies I like
Of course Lord of the Rings and have you heard they just struck a deal with Peter Jackson to make the Hobbit. I am sure everyone is so excited about that, especially Judy.
Sports Teams I like
New England Patriots

God bless you! I didn't know you were still in NH. Ann and I are doing fine raising 3 kids, still doing windows with Ron, and running a Twig.
Love in Christ,
Bob
You were my "elder corps" and I had great respect for all of you. Glad to hear you are doing well!
Blessings,
Emily
Good to see you on this site and to hear how much God is blessing you and your family.
The last time I remember seeing you was back in 1987 or 88 (?) when I was invited to teach at a WOW families Twig. It was quite a night....
My wife Jane (Kiennholz) and I settled in Northwest Arkansas where we live on five acres. We like it here and will most likely remain unless otherwise inspired to move.
It's good to read how community minded you are in your eemployment and activities. I believe this is most needed in our society today - believers that are out doing the truth in their everyday lives rather than only teaching or preaching about it.
Again it is so good to see you and Jane sends her love and regards also.
just to see your face, which still holds that great look, threw me back to years (days?)ago.
Glad to see how amazingly you took your values, hopes and dreams and made them reality.
Drop me a line when you get a chance, and love to Judith.
Happy New Year and all that is best,
hope.
When I first or (second-or so)lol, met Mike I found out that he was younger than me, and he told me that he had always wanted to marry an older woman. For that reason and many others, to us, it was God putting us together. He's about 5 yrs my junior.
I was surprised that you've turned 50. You seemed a lot younger than that to me. Mike just turned 50 Sunday.
Love,
Marsha
Happy New Year!
You're such quality people, I'm glad you are all well.
Did you ever run into Jack Mudge? He's a PFAL grad, too!
Beth and I are here for two years and teaching His word.
It is living and triumphing, gloriously, II Thess 2;1-5
Much love to you and your family, in Christ,
Charles
