Thanks so much for your latest comments. I especially wanted to thank you for adding the song "For the Joys and for the Sorrows (For This I have Jesus) which has ministered to me in a powerful way. I have listened to it over and over again, as I have worshipped and wept and found such comfort in the lyrics, which I have reproduced and sung until I have all but memorized them. How very Providential that you should recommend the this particular song at this particular time. Today I offered the eulogy for my father-in-law who fell asleep last week. He and I had developed a close relationship in the last year of his life, as I served him and ministered to him. We affectionately called my father-in-law "Papa John", and He reminded me so much of my father who died in 1996. "Papa John", died at 94, having lived a full and fruitful life as a servant of the Lord.
Thanks again for sharing this wonderful song which continues to minister to me, as I acknowledge the truth of its poignant and profound lyrics: "For the joys and for the sorrows. . . for this moment. . . for this I have Jesus."
God bless,
Lonnell
Thank you for sending me that birthday greeting. It is nice to be remembered. I passed your greetings on to Michael.
As to whether the weather being warmer here in Anchorage than in Tennesse, I doubt that it is. Our weather has been unpredictable of late. We had 3 weeks of minus 10 to minus 20 temperatures and then overnight it warmed up to the 40s and we had a real thaw. Now temperatures are in the 20s and back to normal winter conditions. Both temperature extremes caused havoc for us as property managers, but that goes with the territory.
Anyway, God bless you.
