Cliff, God bless you. Good to hear from you. I am running out of the house right now to play with the band. I am already late but I just had to say Hi. I will be back!!! Don
Mucho, mucho, mucho amor, brother. You were always so happy, until you got serious! ha! I've always loved you and am so blessed to be back in touch with so many wonderful saints, like you. Are you still playing guitar? You married a Bowen, right? I'm in touch with Betty and Nancy. If you are ever nearby, you always have a place to stay. Blessings! Glenda Sue
Hi Cliff, I think you do know me!!! If you don't , your memory is shot!! I live in AZ now with my family. We have 2 daughters .. One is 19 and the other is 13. My mom lives here too and is healthy and happy and constantly going. Write now she is in Washington DC praying on the steps of the Capitol!! I hope you are doing well. Love, ann
Thanks for all your kindnesses to me (and the other interim Corps) during our interim year...buying us "broke folks" candy and sodas from the Snack Shop. I love ALL your music, and especially "Thankful" and "My Life's Dream." I remember you were listening to it one night in your office right before ROA 1984 started .. you made the statement, "It ministers to my heart." It sure has done the same for many, many more of us over the years. Loved your humor ... calling down to the Bookstore, unaware you weren't talking to an interim Corps person you joked back and forth with and asking, "Are you wearing any underwear?" only to find out it was Emogene Allen! Classic. Trust life is treating you well .. thanks for all the memories of music, humor, and just being you.
Cliff. I'm a little slow, but now I see #11. Cool. Ya know, I don't think you would remember me, but, you once almost "ruined" a date for me one year at the annual Christmas party at HQ back in 81. I was in the Tenth Corps, and you sat directly across from me at the dinner banquet deal. My date, Iris Tate, was simply a date. No romantic inclinations there. But, since I play music, and since you were a JN guy, I was enjoying my conversation with you, and you were your usual highly entertaining self. And then, Iris (who seemed to know you from NYC) "butts in" and says; "Hey Cliff. I know you like to talk and all, but Kevin is my date, now would you please butt out? Well, it's a good thing I wasn't drinking any coffee. You New Yorkers have always cracked me up with your "bluntness" which in this case was Iris...
But ya know, when I first went to Twig, the very first night, the gal who witnessed to me played "Give Christ A Try" for me on a cassette tape, and it just melted my heart and I cried. I was eighteen then, and my new life began that very night, and your song was a big part of it. Thanks.
Howdy Cliff
