Married
About Me
married Dan Moore in 1984. Moved here to NC (from WV) in August of 1985 as our last corps assignment, and have lived here ever since. Did the Mommy thing for my 3 boys (now 22, 21, and 19) for years, and then learned about taxes...have worked in that field for the last 10 years. It's nice cuz it's seasonal, although I do instruction and some (not a lot, really) representation in the off season. Very much looking forward to the empty nest and a new phase in life.
My Interests
scrapbooking, home improvement, wines, cooking, and learning about how our thoughts affect our lives (As a man thinketh, you know.....)
Employment or Career
Tax preparation, instruction and representation.
Music I Like
just about anything except for HipHop, and Opera
Books I Like
The Bible, of course, Lord of the Rings, anything by Jane Austen, John Grisham, pertinent non-fiction...really too many to mention, as I have loved reading since I was a girl.
Television I like
The Food Network!!, Joyce Meyer;s "Enjoying Everyday Life", 24, Lost, What Not to Wear
Movies I like
Lord of the Rings, about any classic musical....mostly around here we rent "action movies"....(IOW, if nothing blows up or there aren't any weapons or spies involved, we usually don't rent it...LOL...comes from having too much testosterone in my house!!) Once in a while though, when the pickin's are slim at the video place, we will rent a "chick flick"....I did finally get to see Notting Hill the other day, though.....I was home alone in the afternoon taking some time off. (Notting Hill has been the butt of many jokes in my household for a number of years.....chick flick that it is)
Sports Teams I like
The Cubs and whoever is playing the Yankees....none of my boys are on any teams anymore.

Happy Birthday sweetie. What a treat to see you in here. I remember you both. Dan was so easy going. You were so bubbly. Well, another year or 40 till retirement. What a life.
Have a great day.
Hi Cathy, I see that today is your birthday. Happy birthday my friend! It's another day closer to the return!!! I guess we'll just have to wait! I hope you had a fun day!
Happy Birthday, I remember you from my first year in the 10th Corps. I seem to remember you and Paul Klass being funnier than most.
Just think....in 40 years we can retire. Well, maybe. My dad use to turn to me when we were working in his machine shop and say, "Son, whatever you do, don't grow old!" I promised I wouldn't. However, the alternative has no appeal either.
With two sons in college, I have learned it is better to be a year older than a month late.
Hey girl! I see that today is your birthday! It's been a long time since we've seen each other but I still feel the same, HA! Still love ya and think the best of you! Happy birthday!!! Donna
Another year has passed...a year filled with 'drama' ( my kids use this word alot ) and loads of really good 'stuff'. So glad to say Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy birthday to one of Raleigh's finest.
Big birthday wishes to you Cathy on this December morning. Hope you have a supa-dupa day!
Hope you have a fantastic day.
