About Me
I remain committed to a wonderful, personal and true relationship with God and I have continued to love and think of you all throughout the years, certainly some more than others. I have a nephew whom I absolutely adore! I am still gorgeous and will upload a photo in a bit.
My Interests
I have been writing poetry and reading at open mics as well as producing youth theater productions in our regional theater. I love to travel in the States and Abroad. I am studying Espanol daily and I am proud that at a ripened age I am able to learn this beautiful language.
Employment or Career
Since we last chatted I have worked for Congressman Christopher Shays, a national non-profit "The Urban League of SWCT for 13 years and at present I teach special needs students (one-on-one) in the Stamford Public School District as well as operate a small youth development business.
Music I Like
I love jazz, R&B, Gospel very much. Chrisette Michelle is a dynamic singer and Jaheim is so smooth. Music is a vital part of my life, Heh! you gotta have theme music.
Books I Like
I enjoy anything that Nicholas Sparks has written, Poetry by Maya Angelou, and Bonnie Kim Campbell (Smile). I still love being in my Bible. I loved the book, Wild At Heart and I believe its companion is "Captivating Spirit ''. They were written by a husband and wife and both are healing and breathtakingly, beautiful.
Television I like
I don't watch much television, don't have cable because I am writing my own poetry and prose. I watch special events and DVD's or go to live theater.
Movies I like
Anything with Kevin Costner, Ralph Fiennes, Julia Roberts, Helen Mirren and let's not forget Antonio Banderas.
Sports Teams I like
I prepare and layout refreshments, watching is not my cup of tea.

Bonnie Kim you are the cutest, most adorable thing. Do you remember lip sinking that song at the Head Table at Headquarters. I sure do and have told the story about it so many times. So glad we were still crazy in the midst of everything...I think that's why we are sane. Do you still have those big pink slippers? I'm so happy you are writing and working with children. Those children are so blessed to have their lives touched by you as all us have by being around you in the ministry. God bless you and you go girl. Love and hugs, Judy VanSteenkiste-Reber!XOXOXOX
What a delight to hear from you. I was especially pleased to learn that you too love to poet and share the spoken Word at open mics. So much has happened since we last connected more than 25 years or so ago. How time do fly--don't it? I have been blessed to extract the essence of some wonderful experiences all along The Way. I've published a couple of collections of poetry as well as my personal testimony of God's healing power after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000. WATCH, FIGHT & PRAY: MY PERSONAL STRATEGY TO COMBAT PROSTATE CANCER also contains some original verse as well. In addition, I have been inspired to set some of my poetry to music as well as passages of scripture with "melodies heard in my inner ear." Like you, I love music--all kinds--I'm quite eclectic in my tastes. I'll share with you one of my poems from STONE UPON STONE: PSALMS OF REMEMBRANCE which reveals my love for all kinds of music since I can remember:
Songs Since
Oh, sing to the LORD a new song!
For he has done marvelous things;
His right hand and his holy arm
have gained Him the victory.
Psalm 98:1
My mobile mind recalls all the witty
Songs I’ve heard since I first began to talk,
Every childhood rhyme and infant ditty,
Such silly nonsense sounds of jabberwock.
I remember in my boppin doo-wop days
When I was no more than a high school lad,
I dug the D.J.’s sound that seldom stays--
Oldies but goodies, old and good, so bad.
Some of my songs I sang before I knew
Any of the reasons to cherish them,
Of simple black people, humble and who
Drank in renewed strength from their vintage hymn.
Then came chansons d’amour, delights to learn,
Filled with delicate words I wished I’d penned,
Lightly descend like dew upon a fern,
Lovely lyrics to share with special friend.
Each kind of music seems to mirror me,
Express all of my innermost hopes and joys,
Reflect my soulful melancholody
Ennobled by the rich chords’ counterpoise.
All is a song, a noted writer said,
And I too sing my song and hold no strife.
Instead of a just a dirge drummed for the dead,
I sing a mighty melody of life.
Keep on praising the Lord, my dear Sister, in English, in Spanish, in tongues, in whatsonever way you choose--just keep on praising Him, for He alone is worthy! I'm bout to start preachin', so I'd better close.
It was so refreshing to hear from you. Be blessed.
Still serving the Lord after all these years,
Lonnell
I was wondering when the heck you would get on this site. I love it and am thrilled whenever I get in touch with an old friend!
We are all well here in Ohio. Kids are growing up. We need to chat...when are u available?
Love you, Joseph
I always heard that you were in CT. Sounds like you have been leading a diverse yet fulfilling life. Anytime you want to leave the big city and come visit us in the "sticks" give me a buzz. I want you know that your light spirit and joyful heart was always great joy to behold. You used to have a "cutting wit" (not in any bad sense) about you that used to cut to my heart and set me back in line when I was out of line. I want to thank you for that. Good to see you here.
Shalom,
David
Which schools are you in. I am at Stillmeadow right now as a OT 3 mornings. I am in private practice the rest of the time. Love to see you some time. Happy New Year. Crae
So good to see you! You sound like you are happy and blessed. If you look far enough back you can find Joe Teodosio here...
