  • Wow that is amazing. My mind is blank on that one. I laughed when you mentioned Steve, we go back along way to, just now read a message from him and Lynn. So where the hell is my "barclava", (I think we spell it in England like balaclarva,) it cost me $ 4,000.00 so if you would send that to me, all will be forgiven...ha...You say you remember more about my singing, please please tell me more, or do I not need to hear it? You are cool Billy, God bless you man...DB
  • Hi Billy. I still don't get the "Barclava" thing. Could you please explain it to me.
    God bless...DB
  • WOW that was a very long time ago! Still have alot of memories though. Some of the best days of my life. I am sure I had grown so much in those days that have helped me through the present times it is amazing! Very nice sharing your heart on trust!
  • Billy, Yes, I remember you. God bless you abundantly, sir. I trust all is well with you. Trust in Him with all that you are and keep on keep'n on. See you there or in the air. CB
  • Billy,

I honestly did not remember the performance at ROA 1989. The hymns that we performed which are most pronounced in my memory are "Thessalonica", the "Hallelujah Chorus" done at the Way C of E, and "Psalm 103 --- Bless the Lord, Oh My Soul..." I was actually just thinking about these lately.

Thanks again for the memory stimulator!

    John
  • Billy,

Thanks for the further elucidation on our common memory exercise. I'm thankful that the lighter side of life is something you value, and that I have been able to bless you with that. At times, things seem to get heavy in my thinking, and then someone will step up and teach on "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: But a broken spirit drieth the bones" and I am reminded of the importance of a merry heart (Prov. 15:13) and a good word (Prov. 12:25).

    God's blessings

    John
  • Billy,

Thanks for the memory from the deserted barn in the midst of the thunderstorms and the snow. I remember much of that camping trip, but I didn't remember what you remembered!

All of the best to you --- and thanks for your kindness and notes!

    John
  • Billy,

God bless you! "Long time no see" would be quite an understatement! I told someone recently about your abilities as a tenor when we used to practice from 9:30PM until ????PM, and our voices would be challenged to stay on key.

BTW...What comment or announcement did I make on the March 1978 camping trip. This eludes my memory.

God bless you, and have a wonderful day and evening!

    In Christ's love,

    John
  • Just a quick note to you - to say hello. Hope all is well with you and your family. My thoughts are with you. Happy Holidays.
    Keep well and stay warm.

  • Hi Billy. Ok, yeah now I connect the dots. Love your page. It was nice chatting with you. Heck, I wish everybody would just use their real names. I forget who is who. I miss some people. (Others not so much, ha, ha.)

How do you like our Rays? First game World Series tonight!

Love to your family. Post a few pictures if so inclined. Hope to meet you face to face someday. Say hi to others on the other site.

PS - Deprogramming! Now that's a dandy! Incredible, that era. You should write a Blog here about your experiences and thoughts about that. Today deprogramming would be lawsuit city, I bet, if it still existed.
