About Me

I, a small-town Maine farm girl, married Donnie Collica, a Sycilian Italian from the Bronx, in 2000. After a few years of living in New York, we moved to Maine and bought a house near the ocean, right next door to my best friend and sister, Retta. Yeah! I finally made it back to the seacoast of Maine! Donnie and I started a Neighborhood Bible Fellowship at the end of last year and love exploring God's Word with the other believers. God has also blessed us with a ministry of attending to neighborhood widows. We absolutely love it. God continually surprises us with things we would never have dreamed of before. Our God is good.

My Interests

Besides the Word of God, I love gardening and especially home decorating. People say I should have my own business in this field but I'm not trained. I just have a "good eye". I am learning therapeutic aromatherapy and have my own Young Living Essential Oils distributorship. Since using the oils I have not been sick and it has cured the chemical imbalance I had that caused depression and anxiety.

Employment or Career

I tease people that I am a fork lift operator. You know, lift the fork, eat the dessert! But really I am semi-retired and, as mentioned, I own my own business in therapeutic grade essential oils. I am learning aromatherapy in regard to physical and emotional healing. After several years working as a legal secretary, I decided to move on to a less stressful work environment and now I 'play' part-time as a medical receptionist in a dental office.

Music I Like

I really like meaningful music. It should have a good message. I do love jazz and blues. For blues, one of my favorites: Keb' Mo'.

Books I Like

Well, again, I like meaningful books. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom was good. One of my favorites is The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Others include To Love Mercy by C. Samuel Storms; Man of Steel & Velvet by Aubrey P. Andelin; and The High Cost of Holy Living by Dwight Hervey Small.

Television I like

I hate television! It's such a waste of time.

Movies I like

I really don't watch too many movies. If I were to watch some, I think they should be funny or full of suspense.

Sports Teams I like

I grew up on a farm with three sisters. No time for sports and have never learned. Don't want to either! But I don't mind that my husband loves sports. His favorite is the Chicago Bears.

Hi Belinda, God Bless You! I'm not terribly surprised that you don't remember me. I was kind of "low profile" during my one year in residence, part of which was spent at Emporia and part at Rome City. And there were hundreds of in-residence corps between the 11th and the 9th corps. I'm sorry to say that I never got to really know more than a small handful of people in my own corps. And I never made it back for my final year in residence because I was unable to get my sponsorship together.
Thanks for the invite to a fellowship, but I'm not working right now, and I don't have a vehicle. I am currently fellowshipping with the Way Ministry in Portland, Maine.
I've just run across this site, and currently don't have much idea what I'm doing, so, I hope you receive this. Thanks for reaching out to me.

Hey Belinda....been a few years since I last saw you in upstate NY, at Lake George... the fellowship thing that Vince hosted.... I'm blessed to see that you are doing well. Love to you and your husband. AND a big thanks for posting the names of the 11th Corps on the discussion about how many were in the Corps.
I see your husband ride a Heritage Softail. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 14 years old when I got my first. Have had several over the years, but bought my first "brand new" Harley Davidson in 2000, a Dyna Wide Glide, all tricked out with lots and lots of chrome and high-performance racing pipes, etc. Had been a delight for my wife Joni and I to travel about occasionally...having fun and opportunities to bear witness to our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father.

Hi, Belinda. We don't know each other but I noticed we're practically neighbors--I'm over the river in New Hampshire, about an hour inland from Portsmouth. I was interested in your mention of Bob Swan being in Portsmouth (on the forum board). WOW! !! !! !! !! And I don't mean ambassadors! I mean WOW! On a few occassions, I saw your name when you posted in the forums for where people were. It just hit me that you were in Corpus Christi, TX in 1978-79. That was an intense time. I always wondered if you made into the Corps. You were around during a very awesome time of my life.
