I just received news that a brother in Christ I have known since I first got into the Word in the Bronx in 1975 is awaiting the return of Jesus Christ. His name is Vincent "Vinny" Bogloli.

Some of you may have known him from the Sixth Corps or from The Bronx as he was faithful minister and servant of Christ to many of us over the years.

Remembering Vinny today reminds me of the unconditional love we once shared as we all focused on one another’s better points and were blinded to the bad points. We all have these little negatives which we must deal with. Simply put ,we saw one another as blameless, and accepted each other as Christ accepted each one of us, just the way we are, and in needof repairs that onlt the Lord can accomplish. Vinny helped us to remember the simplicity of living life, having friends, sharing meals and laughing a whole lot

Vinny suddenly fell asleep in his home and will be remembered by many for his love for God, love for  the Word, and love for the Saints.  When I think of Vinny, I think of the following verses.

2 Timothy 4:7-9 (KJV)

7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Vinny will be missed, but only until the Lord returns to gather together all of the Saints to Himself.

  • Vinny was a terrific, warm, loving human being. He ran my husband's PFAL class in Upstate N.Y. as well as mine in the Bronx. We just visited with his brother, Anthony, a couple of weeks ago when we were in Florida. From what I understand, there will be a Memorial Service for him in New York sometime in April. I will post any information concerning the Memorial Service when plans are finalized.
  • Thanks for this information Frank. Though I did not know Vinny, I heard his name a lot through the years, always in a good context as a fine upstanding person who brought many people to the Lord. Frank Piluso, who lives in the Bronx, informed me of this tragedy last night. My wife, Hope who was from New York, knew him and was shocked to hear this news. I think he was 59 years old, too soon to pass away from what I hear was a sudden heart attack.

Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

If anyone has pictures of our wonderful Vinny please post them in this thread or send them to me and I will post them for you. My email address is john@richeson.org

    Rest in peace Vinny!
