State of the Way Corps Site

Frequently I hear something like the following. " I am so sorry I have not been on the site in a while" , or "I apologize but I havent't been here in ages."  That's OK. No need to explain or feel bad about that. Heck even I don't come on here that often.

Here's the deal. In my opinion, this site is not really designed as a social network or place to visit often. It's like a digital Scrapbook or old Photo album or home movie. It's fun to walk down memory lane once in a while and stay in contact with our many friends from our interesting past. But we don't look at that scrapbook every day. It's a fun corner of the Internet where we can share with one another and stay in touch in a less busy enviroment than FaceBook (which I am also on less and less). It's for a specific group who shared a Way Corps experience in one form or another.

And if you ever feel you need to leave this site that's ok too. No explanations, no questions no info needed. It is your own personal decision. (I can not do it for you even though I am site creator.) Here's how: How to leave a NING network

That being said, there are currently 1,560 people  1,575 people who have registered on this site and NING continues to add more improvements to the site. I hope to continue to see old friends and meet new ones on occasion. I would also like to thank David Bailey in Nashville and Sarah Wilkinson in Austrailia who have been helping with a few things lately. For example, David did the artwork for some of the nice headers we have. And Sarah has helped with new members as needed.

God bless, and may you and your loved ones have a prosperous and blessed 2011.

  • To quote George Bush: "fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."

  • "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.'

Yup!, regardless of what others say or do, life goes on!  It is all 'between our ears.'  We choose to make it a day in which we live in this day or clutter our minds with the past ( which is no longer ) or the future ( which is a rumor ).  I gotta tell ya!, I really enjoy life...at times it's 'sucky'...but for the most part it's really really enjoyable.

I enjoy reading 'stuff' like this you guys 'posted.'  'Hold 'er high', yes...good words!   One more thing, when you saw/heard Ken Petty, were the 'Heartbreakers still touring with him?  Some of Petty's finest 'work' was done with the 'Heartbreakers.'  Nah!, just kiddin'!, Ken is gonna be in Chicago at the end of the month...I'm gonna go hear 'um.

  • No doubt, John. The Word of God is still  moving in the Hearts and Lives of Men. I encourage everyone here to see what Ken Petty is teaching. Jesus said "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." Are we doing what Jesus did? What He sent His Apostles and the Seventy to do? That's what I want to do. That is Holdin'er High is to me.

  • I am a glass half full kind of guy. In spite of all of our many experiences in the ministry, some bad, most good, the simple conclusion in my mind is....simply........things changed.

Have you ever considered that things changed for the better? That things are better that they were before? Way Corps Alumni are quietly doing great things, little recognized by the world, but great nontheless.

As I have shared before, I believe God had a hand in changing some things. And nobody is going to stop Him any more than they are going to be able to stop life from changing as time goes on. Good days ahead!

  • Hi Everyone. What Emil shared reminds me of this one poem, well maybe short story, a Believer wrote. Maybe someone has a copy of it they wouldn't mind sharing. It deals with Paul & Timothy meeting to share about the work of the Ministry and they go swimming. In the story Paul says "They're gone Timothy." Referring to some of the leadership of His Day & Time. "But we're still here and God is here, remember that Timothy." I don't remember if that is exactly how it goes. BUT, how apropos...(very appropriate to a particular situation, fitting... sorry just a nerd / teacher thing). Some of our Brothers and Sisters in Christ are awaiting the return and worse some are lost & lead away to the false doctrines appearing to be real. And it hurts. I was nineteen years old when after Rock of Ages '74 I waited backstage for Dr. Wierwille. I just wanted to tell him how much he blessed my life by teaching me the Word of God. It wasn't the first time I met him but the closing of the Rock and me about to go W.O.W. Ambassador made me emotional. I cried when thanking him for making a difference in my life. He cried too and looked at me and said in a broken voice "Hold'er High". I don't know how High I have held God's Word in my life. I guess I could say that if life was a river I was crossing it holding the Word with both hands over my head so it wouldn't get wet. I haven't done it alone. There have ALWAYS been my Brothers and Sisters in Christ to inspire me but it's my responsibility to "Hold'er High". I just thought I'd share that. I love you all and am so thankful to God for our Wonderful Body of Christ and God's Corps of Believers.

yours in Him and His Love... Donaldo
