Since we are all Corps on this site I wanted to address this issue. We are all living in many towns, cities and countries across this world and are moving God's Word in our circles. Since reading some of the pages of my fellow Corps I realized that there are needs out there. Perhaps it's a need of prayer or sponsorship or maybe God has been tugging at your heart to do something similar. I thought that this would be a good forum to find out how we are moving the Word in our specific areas and if we need prayer or perhaps even financial support from one another. God Bless all of you as you continue to live "IT IS WRITTEN".

  • My children and I are currently involved in a local church youth group.
Obviously the needs are great. I have the awesome responsiblity to teach and also to coordinate refreshments.
With up to 100 kids at any given time, that can be a overwhelming task..haha..
They all call me "Miss Carolyn" and call me at all hours of the day and stop my my house to talk.
I am thankful that God has set me here and allows me to serve in this capacity.
I was not raised in the Word so I look back on my childhood and wonder at times, wow if I only had someone take the time to listen to me, to mentor me, to help me through the rough times of adolescence, how different my life would have been.
So thankful that I can make a difference now in some kids lives, by allowing God to work within me.
    God Bless all of you...
  • Hi Robert,
So wonderful to hear about your fellowship. I believe that when we manifest God's love, it never fails.
It's been something I am constantly working on. God let me show your love, not just say it. With all the knowledge of the Word we have been taught, it's easy to sit and spew verses forth, when all that may be needed at the time is a hug or a listening ear.
I have been very inspired by Joel Osteen. His messages are positive, He preaches of a loving God who cares for His children, not a wrathful judge.
In these times it is good to know that we have the tender arms of a loving Father to fall into.

God bless you and your fellowship Robert.

  • John,
    I wholeheartedly agree with you.
We were given excellent training in my opinion. And despite the difficult times that were present through those years, we have much of the Word still living strong in our hearts.
I went into the Corps to serve God. Whichever vehicle we choose to do that through today, we still can proclaim to the world, our families, our circle of friends..."it is written"...
Believing that all those who answered that call..are listening to that still small voice and manifesting our Fathers love.
God Bless you and your family John,
    Carolyn
  • Mickey, we have been praying for you. Been busy with kids since school let out.

They have so many acticities I'm trying to get them to stand still. Haha..God Bless Mickey...
Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers..Carolyn
  • Hi Carolyn, my wife and I are working with Gary and Cathy Barton here in Boise Idaho with a fellowship at the Bartons house and Gary heads it up. What makes this fellowship so wonderful is the diligent effort of all the folks that have been in the Word for any lenght of time to keep it sweet, tender, loving and kind . NEVER forceful , but always encourageing and uplifting.Really just treating people like the Father treats us, and I have to say that after all these30 years in the Word , I want Nothing or need Nothing more than I want and need the Fathers love, mercy , and grace.I really believe that the Word moves best when we LET it just by imitating our Father and allowing ourselves to be moved by compassion to the point that Gods Word is confirmed by signs following.thats how our Lord did it and the results speak for themselves.I think this blog is a great idea,by the way. love you
  • I think many members of those who were in The Way Corps have made this world a better place on many grassroots and one-on-one levels, including being some of the best parents a kid could ask for. The ramifications will be ongoing for generations in my humble opinion.
  • This is a great idea, Carolyn. I for one would love to hear what everybody is doing.

Me? I'm just hanging out in Nicaragua teaching God's kids (literally) how to live the word and work to make their country better. I've been here permanently since 1999. Off and on for a few years before that. And, yes, we have great need for prayer. These kids are coming from a society that is spiritually dark. God bless,
