In Memory of Arild Mikko Funderud

I am so sad to let you know that Arild Mikko Funderud (15th and 16th Corps) fell asleep in Christ on October 1, 2009. A memorial service will be held in the Williamsburg VA area on October 24 or 25 -- details are not yet complete. Arild was a warrior for Jesus Christ. He fought valiantly for his Lord, and his rewards will be great at the return of our Saviour. It is hard to express in words the kind of man Arild was. If you got to know him, then you were fortunate. He was a warrior, a servant, and a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. I will be so happy to see him rewarded.

I feel so incredibly blessed to have had Arild as my friend and brother. He was a joy filled man with a passion for God and God's family. He had a contagious smile and was such a humble man. I will miss his gentle ways and look forward to seeing him at Christ's return.

I decided last night to change my schedule around and go to the memorial for him. I just can't get him off my mind. Linda Paus and I were talking about him last night. This is really pulling old friends together again in honor of him. Melanie Davis

All are welcome at a memorial service for Arild Mikko Funderud to be held Sunday, October 25, at 11 a.m. at the Ford’s Colony Swim and Tennis Club, 302 St. Andrew’s Drive, Williamsburg VA. Because this is a gated community, it will speed up things if you will e-mail Myrna at pmb3pmb@cox.net to give her your name for the list that will be at the front gate. A map to the clubhouse will also be available for you there.
