Grand Lake St. Marys Polluted - No Contact with Water
A site member alerted me of this. Sad to see this. Maybe it will be clear again some day. There appear to be no easy solutions to fix the problem. Among other things these articles state:
"Grand Lake has for years been considered one of Ohio's most polluted bodies of water, largely because of the phosphorus in the manure and fertilizers that run off nearby farms during storms. Cyanobacteria feed on the pollutants and have rapidly expanded to take over the lake.
The lake water can contain as many as four different toxins that can sicken people and kill animals."

Looks like the Gulf waters here in Florida are not the only waters that are being affected by mans tampering with nature.

I truly hope they reverse the problem and clear it up somehow. I bet they can if enough people make their minds up to do so including elected officials and wealthy farmers.
