  • I just heard about this Lynn. My heart and prayers go out to you, Philip and Gary's family. God bless them all. Please let them know we are thinking about them.

  • My deepest condolences. I'm sorry to just now hear about this. So looking forward to the Return of our loving lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Well Lynn you know I can go on and on about how much I loved Gary and what a great friend, confidant, example he was to me.  He was one of those kind of people that you could fall into his arms like a complete train wreck and walk away whole and ready to take on the world and what ever it had in store for you.  He taught me many things but one of the most profound statements he told me that changed me was "If you are doing everything (as a leader) then you are lazy!"  I am sure he got my attention by just telling me "Patty you are lazy" as sweat was dripping from my brow, setting up and organizing and following through with some class that was going to start that night.  I wanted to punch him in the throat but then he lovingly explained to me that teaching others is far harder then doing it all yourself.  As a mother those words have echoed in my brain many a time and I always think of Gary.  I don't think the three of us realized it then but as the years went on I realized that the 3 us were experiencing what Donnie Fugit taught about what revival was.  The temperature of believing was so high and it literally felt like every person that we talked to wanted to know more.  It was an exhilarating time to see God work in our lives and because of you and Gary, and your leadership, it was done with a genuine heart for God and His people.  Thank God Gary and I had you to keep us from spinning out of control...your peaceful, steady, presence would help Gary and I be real about what we could do and plan and not kill the rest of the branch and ourselves with out enthusiasm.    I loved living the Word with the two of you as my leadership.  That year was one of the best years of my life...not just in the ministry.  Oh, I could go on and on but it is all written in heaven and Gary will be rewarded.  I love you Lynn, always have always will.

  • Very saddened to hear about Gary.  I have fond memories of his cheerful ways and smiling eyes.  It always brought a smile to my face remembering our LEAD experience and his humor.  Looking forward to seeing him again some day. Love to his family.  Kathleen
