I will most likely discontinue this site due to the NING platform changing and, in my opinion, deteriorating. What started out as free in 2007 has now gone up to $69 a month starting October 1st. Read this link and especially read the comments below it from long time NING network creators.If anyone wants to take ownership of this site that can be arranged. Otherwise it will be cancelled soon. If no one wants to assume the responsibility that is understandable. Everything has its time.
Before this site goes away I recommend that you copy any items you may want from among over 7,500 pictures, hundreds of blog posts, memorial posts and other documents you may find. You can also make screen shots of any given screen you are on using Windows own Snipping Tool for example. I may continue the site for a few months to allow others to make copies.
I started this site about 9 years ago before FaceBook was a thing. The idea was to have a neutral place where a few of us could have some fun and socialize and keep in touch while leaving aside the all the usual religious bickering that would no doubt accompany a site like this. Whatever I did seemed to have struck a nerve at the time. There are almost 1,700 members on this site now including 2 new ones who joined today.
To The Way Ministry and President Rivenbark, I am sure you will be glad to see this site go away as it may be a reminder of your failures and mismanagement resulting in hurt that was caused to many good people. Managing this site has enabled me to collect a treasure trove of memorabilia including music, pictures, videos and documents from those bygone days. It seems you would rather discount them as "old wine skins" as you told us they were. I consider them fine wine. Maybe you are now the old wine skin? It is WE who made the good things and good times happen in our years in The Way Corps, in spite of you.
As site Administrator, I have been able to have personal conversations with people from across all eras of The Way Ministry. Many have moved on to other successful walks of life and are now enjoying their families, children and grandchildren. It's been so much fun to have this experience! I will forever treasure these moments on this site and will never forget some of the greatest people I have ever known.....that would be you!

Thank You for the heads up. Thank you for creating and maintaining this web site for all of us to use. It has been a great blessing, I really liked seeing some of the old photos and hearing some of the old songs, etc... For some reason taking pictures was not on my important task list when I was in residence or on the WOW field. Any ways, Thank You! I will have to take your advice and download stuff before it goes away. Thanks to everyone who contributed. One Family in Christ. Take Care.
I am rarely on here, indeed would need my own updating, but I have been so blessed every time I look. I thank both you and those who may be able to step up to the plate to keep the site going. Please, send out another email to us all (the only way I knew there was a problem!) if simply sending a ridiculously small amount of money yearly will help keep this alive. Even if only 100 of us contributed $5. in a yearly drive it would be overpaid for. :)

God bless you John and thank you for servicing the Way Corps for so many years. Many people were hurt and I'd say many ministries destroyed, but God is not dead and we can pick up the pieces and still have a great relationship with our Father by keeping it simple and seeking God's will which is the love of God. NING is not closing and most likely will remain if they can turn a profit. Hard to say. I've been paying $50 a month for a while. When I posted this they had announced they were increasing it to $70 a month. Plus $15 extra a month if you want to have a music player on each persons page. (If you notice...all the music is gone.). Now they rolled the prices back to $50 a month because everyone was leaving the NING platform.
All these things and more were free when NING started. In principle I am not interested in contributing that much to NING. Imagine if FaceBook started charging. How much would you pay?
A couple of people have expressed interest in taking ownership here. Let's see what plays out.

Update - Price increase rollback. So I will take my time in closing it. Plus 2 people have expressed interest in assuming ownership of it. So I will wait and see what happens in the near future.
It is not us who are growing old and dying, it is this world which is passing away. We (who do the will of God) will abide forever. What a wonderful concept, Jeff! I personally needed to read this today and I thank you for sharing it and expressing it as you did. Love, joy and peace to you.
If you end up closing down the site, John, know that you have performed signal service for me, and I'm sure, for a lot of other Way Corps too. Getting back in touch with people, and also getting to know Corps who we weren't acquainted with "back in the day" -- both of those this site enabled for me. THANK YOU.
As the generations roll on, like the Kansas song says, "all we are is dust in the wind." And as as Leviticus tells us, "the memory of them is forgotten." Which would be a sad state of affairs but for two minor facts from God's Word. Number one, we have eternal life now, and the assurance of that life by the down payment of the spirit that we manifest. And number two, one of these days the Lord himself is going to "descend from heaven with a shout." What a day!
So the way I see it, I am not the one who is growing old and dying, nor are any other of my fellow born-again believers. Rather, it is this world that is passing away. We shall abide forever.
