Art to Help the Oil Spill - from Carol McArdle

I received this email from our Carol McCardle. Carol was the 4th member to come on this site back in October 2007. Now there are almost 1,500 members. Her email was meaningful to me because I, too, love Florida and our Gulf Coast, having lived in Tampa Bay for 30 years.

Please pray for this horrible situation. It might take a miracle for this oil to stop flowing somehow. It makes us Floridians a bit sad when 200,000 gallons of oil are added to this fragile ecosystem every day. I asked her if I could post it. Carol writes the following:

"Hi Everyone,

The oil spill breaks my heart. I love nature and I love the gulf coast where I live. The mangroves, the birds, the fish, the crabs and hundreds of other little and big things in our eco-system are being harmed. Nature is my life. I want to help......

I can help with your help. 10% of all purchases of paintings or prints from me will go to the Audobon Society's fund to help resucue birds. If you have been thinking of freshening your art collection or just want new prints for your walls NOW is a great time to go for it!

Go to my website www.carolmcardle.com and enjoy looking at the beauty of the gulf. All of it is now in danger of being damaged by the spill but I know we will be doing all that we can to save our fabulous coast and wildlife.

Thank you for helping!"
