We Remember.....a slideshow by John R. from John R on Vimeo.

In my experience, many of our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep were never given the honor and recognition they deserved. For reasons I won't go into here, I did not allow my grieving process to happen for some of my departed friends. This is my attempt at bringing such honor to our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep. Here are some of them whose pictures I have. May they be recognized and respected for the good they have done. This was difficult to make and and I shed many tears thinking of some of these wonderful people. I am aware it is sad and am sorry that it may affect you so. But I feel better knowing they have been given a chance to be acknowledged. I am sure their families would agree. This is a work in progress as I get more pictures. Send some if you have them.

  • Thank you for your labor of love. Several of these wonderful believers had such an impact on my life.  I look so forward to seeing them again after the gathering together.  Bless you, sir.

  • Thank you John!  This was completely appropriate and elegantly done, with perfect songs chosen to celebrate our brothers and sisters. All praise and glory to God and to his precious son Jesus, who have both given to and paid for us eternally.  We shall see everyone again one glorious day...and many more we have yet to meet!
  • God bless you more than abundantly for your loving work to help us all remember these wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ. Although I still have tears at this loss, I rejoice in the memory of how they lived. Thank you!

  • Thank you so very much for the memories. Many of these folks are forever embedded in my heart. Thank you for this site and the honor you have given to those who stood for Him! May we continue to stand and commit this word of God to the next generation as we have been given. God's abundant flow of blessings to you and your family.
  • What a touching and well-done tribute, John. Thanks very much for putting this together. It was indeed a labor of love.
  • Kata, Speaking of John Hendricks. I barely knew him either. But he has some awesome published works that we sell in our fellowship bookstore in San Diego. His book on: "Prosperity God's Way" answered every question I ever had in this area. Contact me if you would like to buy any of his works. They are outstanding. God is Awesome. Have a Blessed Day!
  • PS. you said it so well, Bob Lanham. I hardly KNEW John Hendricks AT ALL! I met and saw and heard him in one or two fellowships---- but his memory is burned in my heart forever.
  • Thank you for making this! I cried when I saw some faces I loved. Like John Hendricks. When I was newly born again (about 15-16) and saw and heard him speak in tongues and interpret- and saw his lovely stature and kind and gentle mannerisms. It was LIKE seeing Christ. Love, KATA
  • John ...

All I can say is ...

    "Well done sir!" Bravo!

I gladly and whole heartedly give you a standing ovation!

'Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.'

    (II Thes. 2: 16,17)

It amazing me at times how these people touched our lives so deeply whether they ever knew or not in this life. Some of them I knew met a number of times, and some of the people noted in the tribute I spent time with personally. Others I only had the privilege of more casual contact.

But even if they did not know me well, or did not know me at all, their lives certainly had a 'ripple effect' by their love and efforts. For me they will always be cherished in a wonderful way. And if I did not get a chance to thank them in some way I certainly hope I'll be able to after the Lord returns. Thank God He has and never will forget them even while they sleep for a short time. But beyond any thanks I could offer them. the Lord will reward them richly for their love for Him and what they did out of love for people. I think of them often and I will continue to 'cleave to that which is good.'

Well done John - very well done. Thank you!
  • It was wonderful to see so many of my friends faces again. Very very well done.
