Oops.............Sorry.! Delete 1...............796 NK, De Koog,Texel------------------Thanks to you & family for sharing this. I believe we are all to comfortable as Christians.....................forgetting the words of our lord Jesus... and consentrating on sections of scripture that that bless us and missing the point!!!!
I am reminded of 1 Tim.6:
3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness,
4 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions,
5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.
6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
7 for we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.
................."but he who stands firm to the end will be saved". Let us all pray for each other that that is our priority in life.................
Shalom, Tricia
Thankd Iain for sharing this. Reminds me of:
1796 NK, De Koog,
Texel
Mark 13:5-13
5 Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no-one deceives you.
6 Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many.
7 When you hear of wars and rumours of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth-pains.
9 "You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
10 And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.
11 Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 "Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.
