Understanding the Supreme Court

Dear Way Corps Alumni:

With a Supreme Court appointment looming before the Senate this week, many desire to better understand the vast powers of the Court.

For the Way Corps Alumni, Steve Morrison has kindly written the attached article, explaining the purpose and functions of the Supreme Court. I think you might find it thought-provoking, from a Christian-citizen point of view. Here is the link to the file.  Understanding the Supreme Court

As you may recall, Steve Morrison is both 8th Corps, and a celebrated attorney --licensed in four states and a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court, allowed to practice in the highest Court of our land.

Thank you much!

  • Wow!  I really liked reading the article about the Supreme Court.  It cleared up a few questions I never got answered in school.  Thank you!  I suspect the cost to take something to the Supreme Court can be hefty. Are there any other fees other than attorney fees?

  • Thank you for posting. I found it worth reading--very nicely and understandably written. Are we limited to sharing this?? I think anyone could benefit.

  • Steve: I appreciate you sharing Steve Morrison's article.  It makes the judicial landscape rather clear.

However, the nominee has faced certain questions from Democrats about the ACA and Roe v. Wade, because of the President's rhetoric about those subjects and his intention to do away with them.  Plus, he said he would only nominate someone who held the same views as him.

Mrs. Barrett, though highly qualified for the job, faced opposition, not because of her qualifications or her faith, but because of the President's campaign of being a "disruptor" and manipulator of facts to the public.  He is a master of deception and fake news.
