BLOGS

Blog or Article?

Blogs often focus on personal opinion, experiences, views, anecdotes or advice. Blogs tend to have a relaxed and conversational feel, such as in storytelling and are generally 300-500 words.

Articles aim to deliver well-researched, informative content with solid evidence to back up the points made.  Articles are usually more formal, organized and frequently range 500-1000 words.

A Prayer for Patience

Yesterday someone sent me an article by Graham Cooke, a renowned prophetic teacher, who is originally from England but now living in the States. In his discussion regarding saying "no," he mentioned the importance of patience in this present season. He went on to say that in the past he had written out a prayer for patience which he read everyday and suggested that writing such a prayer might be beneficial to his readers. The article also brougt to mind the blog I had written "What's in season in this season of the life of Lonnell Johnson?" I followed Graham Cooke's exhortation and wrote the following which could be an addendum to that particular blog. I trust will be a blessing to you:A Prayer for Patience“My suggestion for people in a season of birth or upgrade is to write out a prayer for patience and pray it every day.”Graham CookeFor you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.Hebews 10:36 (Amplified Bible)I look back and pause and then look ahead to seeClearly who God is, who He wants to be for me.I still journey down the road less travelled byAnd pray that patience may serve as a trusted ally.I must say no to the pressures of this lifeAnd say yes to the rest God gives, despite the strife. As I stay my mind on Him, I abide in peace. When I praise God, works of the enemy decrease.May I remain and not fall by the wayside as someBut like Job wait until at last my change shall come.Patient endurance seems delayed for some reason,But fruit abounds to those who wait in this season.I pray that in this time of transition and shiftThat I embrace waiting as a wonderful gift.Lonnell E.
